Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. As of October 1, 2026, the NFL has not announced the U.S. television network or streaming service for that game. When rights are confirmed, use that broadcaster’s LG webOS app, your local over-the-air affiliate, or a supported fallback such as HDMI or a streaming device. Do not assume that the NFL app or NFL+ includes the live Super Bowl on an LG television.
Which channel or streaming service has the 2027 Super Bowl?
Upcoming game: Super Bowl LXI is set for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. See the NFL venue announcement and the official February 14, 2027 date listing.
The national network, direct-to-consumer streaming service, and local-affiliate details have not been established in the official information currently available. Check the NFL’s official Ways to Watch page and the eventual broadcaster announcement before subscribing. A national network is different from the local station that carries it in your market, and international rights may be held by a different provider.
For context only, the most recent completed game, Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, aired nationally on NBC at 6:30 p.m. Eastern and streamed on Peacock, according to the NFL’s Super Bowl LX viewing guide. That arrangement does not establish the rights for Super Bowl LXI.

Choose the best LG TV option for your situation
| Your situation | Best route | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|
| You want to avoid another streaming subscription | Antenna connected to the local affiliate | Works only with adequate reception and a local station carrying the game |
| You already pay for cable or satellite | Local channel or your provider’s authenticated app | Your package, market and LG model must be eligible |
| You have the confirmed broadcaster’s service | Native LG webOS app | The app may not support older webOS versions or every region |
| You own an iPhone or iPad | Native app, then AirPlay if needed | Some live services block AirPlay |
| You have a laptop nearby | HDMI connection | Requires a cable and a computer |
| You own Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV or Google TV | Install the official app on that device | Uses another device and HDMI input |
| You are considering NFL+ | Use it only for features and devices confirmed by NFL | It is not a safe default for the live Super Bowl on an LG TV |
Watch through the official LG Smart TV app
LG app availability depends on the television model, webOS version, country, account region and provider. LG says its apps and content vary by product and territory; check the webOS information page and LG streaming-app overview rather than assuming every LG TV is compatible.
- Connect the TV to the internet and install any pending TV software update.
- Press Home on the LG remote.
- Open LG Content Store or the Apps area. The label varies by webOS generation.
- Search for the officially confirmed Super Bowl broadcaster or streaming service.
- Select the app and choose Install.
- Open it, sign in or complete the provider’s subscription, and locate the live event on game day.
Test the login and playback several days before kickoff. An app can install successfully while the account still lacks the required plan, local-channel access or event entitlement.
Watch with an antenna
If the game is carried by a broadcast network, an antenna can be the least expensive legitimate option after the one-time hardware purchase. It provides the local affiliate only; it does not create a streaming feed when that station cannot be received.

- Built-in Stereo Speakers: Equipped with dual 5W stereo speakers delivering clear audio and includes wall mounting capability for flexible installation options
- Connect an indoor or outdoor antenna to the TV’s coaxial antenna input.
- Open Settings.
- Find Channels, Channel Tuning or Auto Tuning; wording varies by model.
- Choose the antenna or broadcast source and run an automatic scan.
- Confirm that the scanned local affiliate is carrying the game before kickoff.
Reception depends on distance from the transmitter, terrain, building materials, antenna placement and interference. Scan and test days in advance, and do not rely on a specific channel number because numbering differs by market.

Use cable, satellite or a live-TV provider
A pay-TV subscription can provide the local broadcast channel or an authenticated provider app, but these are separate checks:
- Your package must include the network or station carrying the game.
- The station must be available in your local market.
- Your provider must offer an LG app for your model and webOS version, if you plan to use the app.
- Your account must be eligible for the event, even if the app itself installs.
The NFL describes TV-provider authentication for participating services and lists LG Smart TV models from 2020 and newer among supported devices in its current guidance. That does not mean every 2020-or-newer LG model supports every provider or event. See NFL’s provider-account instructions and verify your provider’s own compatibility list.

Can the NFL app or NFL+ show the live Super Bowl?
You can install the NFL app on a compatible LG television using Home → LG Content Store → search “NFL” → Install, as described in the NFL’s LG installation guide. Installation, however, is not proof that the live Super Bowl is included.
NFL’s current device guidance lists LG Smart TVs from 2020 and newer for supported NFL features, while stating that live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games under NFL+ are restricted to phones and tablets. Supported-TV access is mainly for features such as RedZone, replays and other programming. Check the event-specific guidance at NFL device support before purchasing NFL+ solely for the Super Bowl.
Cast from an Apple or Android device
iPhone, iPad or Mac with AirPlay
Many recent LG televisions support AirPlay 2, subject to model compatibility; LG describes the feature on its current TV overview.

- Free Content: Stream for free. Access over 1 million free movies and TV episodes from popular ad-supported streaming apps like Fire TV Channels, Tubi, and Pluto TV. Subscriptions may be required. Feature and content availability may vary.
- Connect the Apple device and LG TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the authorized broadcaster app and start the live event.
- Tap the AirPlay icon and select the LG TV.
- Enter the on-screen code if the TV requests one.
A black video screen with audio, or no AirPlay option, usually indicates a digital-rights restriction or unsupported app path. Use the native TV app, HDMI or a supported streaming device instead.
Android phone or tablet
Use the handset’s Cast, Smart View or Screen Share control if your LG model supports that protocol. Keep both devices on the same network. The exact procedure varies by phone manufacturer, and DRM-protected live sports may block mirroring. LG’s model-specific guidance is at LG screen sharing support.
Laptop or desktop through HDMI
- Connect the computer to an HDMI port on the LG TV.
- Press Input on the LG remote and select that HDMI input.
- Open the authorized stream in a supported browser and sign in.
- Set the computer to mirror or extend its display.
HDMI avoids many casting restrictions, but the computer still needs a supported browser, valid account and stable internet connection.

Use a separate streaming device
If the required app is absent from the LG Content Store, install it on a Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV/Android TV, Xbox or another device that the broadcaster supports. NFL’s device list includes several of these categories.
- Connect the device to an HDMI port.
- Switch the LG TV to that HDMI input.
- Install the official broadcaster app on the device.
- Sign in and launch the live game.
This is often more reliable than trying to force an unsupported webOS app, but it does add another remote, device and HDMI input.
If the app is missing or the stream fails
The app does not appear
- Record the exact LG model number and webOS version.
- Install available TV software updates.
- Check the LG Services Country or account-region setting.
- Confirm compatibility on the provider’s supported-device page.
- Use HDMI or a separate streaming device if native support is unavailable.
Changing the country setting can alter the apps and services shown on the television, so do it only when you understand the consequences.
The NFL app opens but the game is missing
App availability and live-event rights are different. Use the confirmed broadcaster’s app, the local broadcast station, an eligible TV-provider login, HDMI or a supported streaming device.

- Restart the TV and router.
- Use Ethernet when available.
- Pause other high-bandwidth activity.
- Update the app and TV software.
- Lower video quality if the service provides that control.
- Start early to avoid last-minute congestion.
- Switch to an antenna or another authorized device if buffering continues.
The picture is black but audio works
DRM, blocked mirroring, an unsupported browser, or outdated software are common causes. Try the native LG app, the provider’s official device app, a software update or HDMI from a computer.
You are traveling
U.S. subscriptions, local affiliates and NFL+ rules do not automatically apply abroad. Rights, account regions and blackout policies vary by country. A VPN may violate a service’s terms and can trigger playback or account problems.
