Where to watch Salem’s Lot (2024) online
| Option | What the research supports | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Max | The 2024 film launched on Max in the United States on October 3, 2024. | Catalogs, plans, and availability vary by territory and may change. |
| Prime Video | A Prime Video listing for the film exists. | The retrieved listing presented access through an HBO Max channel or trial—not necessarily as part of a standard Amazon Prime membership. |
| Rental or purchase | A digital home-video date was listed in industry release-schedule material. | The research did not verify a current consumer rental or purchase offer in the U.S. Do not assume every digital storefront carries the film. |
| DVD or Blu-ray | No reliable current official U.S. physical release was established. | Listings for the 1979 miniseries must not be mistaken for discs of the 2024 film. |
How to stream it in the U.S.
- Open Max and search for Salem’s Lot (2024).
- Confirm that the result is the 1-hour-54-minute, R-rated feature film starring Lewis Pullman—not one of the older television adaptations.
- Check the current plan and price shown for your account before starting a subscription. The film’s availability does not mean that it is free to watch or included with every plan in every territory.
Rotten Tomatoes’ current U.S. availability listing identifies HBO Max/Max as the subscription option for the 2024 film. That listing was reviewed with an August 12, 2026 crawl date, so treat it as a dated availability signal rather than a permanent guarantee.
Can you watch Salem’s Lot on Prime Video?
Possibly, but the distinction matters. Prime Video has a catalog page for Salem’s Lot (2024), and the retrieved offer was associated with an HBO Max channel or free-trial route inside Prime Video. That is different from saying the movie is included with an ordinary Amazon Prime membership.

Which Salem’s Lot are you looking for?
Search results often combine three different screen adaptations of Stephen King’s novel. Use the year and format when searching.
| Version | Format and identifying details | Runtime noted in the research |
|---|---|---|
| Salem’s Lot (2024) | Feature film directed and written by Gary Dauberman; starring Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, John Benjamin Hickey, and Bill Camp. | 1 hour 54 minutes; rated R. |
| Salem’s Lot (1979) | Tobe Hooper’s television miniseries adaptation. | 3 hours 20 minutes. |
| Salem’s Lot (2004) | Mikael Salomon’s television miniseries adaptation. | 3 hours 1 minute. |
A generic streaming search for “Salem’s Lot” can therefore lead to the wrong title. Include “2024 film” or “Gary Dauberman” in your search if you want the recent movie.

Read the source novel
If you want more of the town’s history, characters, and gradual descent into horror, the natural companion is Stephen King’s ‘Salem’s Lot novel. King’s official bibliography identifies it as a 1975 novel and lists paperback, hardcover, limited-edition, and audiobook formats. Choose the format and seller available in your country; the book is separate from access to the 2024 film.
