ProPresenter can send a configured Audience or Stage screen to a live stream using RTMP, and its documented workflow also supports a Resi integration. The essential setup is to choose what viewers should see, configure any camera input and audio routing, then select the intended screen and destination in Capture Settings. Exact menus and device compatibility can vary by installed release; Renewed Vision’s user guide says its content is current through ProPresenter 7.12.
Plan what the stream should show
Decide whether the remote audience needs slides and other presentation layers, camera video, or a combination. ProPresenter captures one configured screen at a time, so the screen you select—not every display connected to the computer—determines the visual feed.
- Audience screen: Intended for the congregation or other viewers in the room; it can carry slides, media, and presentation layers.
- Stage screen: Intended for presenters or performers and can show stage-oriented information. Select it only if that is what remote viewers should receive.
Configure screens under Screens > Configure Screens. An output connects a configured screen to a physical or digital destination, and the selected screen and its active Look affect the captured result. See Renewed Vision’s screen configuration guide and screen configuration support article.
Add camera video if the stream needs it
A camera does not become part of the stream just because it is connected to the computer. First configure it as a ProPresenter video input, then use that input in a playlist or on a slide/action as appropriate.

- Connect the camera or video source using an input path supported by your production system.
- Open ProPresenter Settings > Inputs, add a Video Input, select the source, and configure any associated audio.
- Confirm the source is recognized and that the image and any required audio appear as expected. Trigger the input from the Video Input Playlist or use it on a slide/action.
Renewed Vision documents USB capture devices (with Elgato CamLink as an example), SDI interfaces (including DeckLink Duo), NDI sources, and Syphon on macOS. These are input families, not a guarantee that a particular model will work with every camera or computer. Check the camera output, operating system, connectors, format and resolution compatibility before choosing equipment. See Renewed Vision’s video input setup guide.
Route audio for the remote audience
Decide whether the stream should carry ProPresenter media audio, a dedicated mix from the sound console, or both. Capture audio routing controls determine what reaches the stream; the room’s speaker mix and the online mix do not have to be identical. Listen to the captured feed and check synchronization before the event.

When using a console return
Renewed Vision documents one simultaneous in-room and livestream example: assign a console return to internal channels 3 and 4, select those channels for capture, and disable channels 1 and 2 for capture so playback audio already routed through the house console is not doubled. This is one topology-specific configuration, not a universal channel assignment. Adapt it to your console and ProPresenter routing. Details are in Renewed Vision’s audio routing example.
Configure capture and choose a destination
Open Screens > Capture Settings or use the Live button. Select the configured Audience or Stage screen intended for viewers, then set capture parameters to suit the destination and your production. ProPresenter 7 documentation describes RTMP streaming and recording, with capture limited to one ProPresenter screen at a time.

For an RTMP destination
- Get the RTMP server address and stream key from your streaming provider’s current instructions.
- Enter the destination details in the capture workflow and keep the stream key private; anyone with valid credentials may be able to broadcast to that destination.
- Review the selected screen, capture settings and audio routing before starting. Provider-specific ingest settings are not universal, so follow the provider’s own guidance for its current requirements.
Renewed Vision’s recording and RTMP streaming documentation describes the ProPresenter capture workflow. It does not establish current ingest values or setup steps for a particular social platform, so do not assume one provider’s server, key or settings apply to another.
For the documented Resi integration
After the required account and integration setup, select Resi as the destination in ProPresenter’s capture workflow. The stream is sent to Resi for processing and delivery to destinations configured there. Confirm current account requirements and delivery options with Resi; consult Renewed Vision’s Resi setup instructions.

Rehearse, start and monitor the stream
- Confirm the intended Audience or Stage screen is selected and that the desired Look and layers are active.
- Check that camera inputs are visible if used, and that the stream mix contains the intended audio without doubling or sync problems.
- Verify that the destination receives the correct picture and sound before the event begins.
- Start from Capture Settings, the Live button, or Screens > Start Streaming. The guide describes a capture progress indicator in the Preview window; monitor the capture and destination during the event.
The exact labels can differ by release. Renewed Vision’s user guide identifies its documented content as current through ProPresenter 7.12, so verify version-specific menus and hardware compatibility against your installed release. See the ProPresenter User Guide.
Common problems and practical checks
- The stream shows the wrong content: Check the selected capture screen, the active Look and the layers assigned to that screen. Capture takes one configured screen at a time.
- The camera is missing or black: Confirm it is connected and recognized, then check the selected Video Input and compatibility among camera output, capture interface, operating system and format.
- Audio is absent or doubled: Review capture channel selection and the signal path from the console or ProPresenter media. If playback already reaches the console return, avoid capturing a second copy of the same audio; the channels 3 and 4 example above applies only to its stated configuration.
- The destination does not receive the stream: Recheck the provider’s current RTMP address and key, confirm the correct destination was selected, and compare the provider’s ingest requirements with the configured output.
- The picture and sound are out of sync: Check the source and capture routing before the event, then monitor the received feed rather than relying only on the local presentation preview.
