Vudu is now presented on the web as Fandango at Home, but your existing Vudu account does not need to be replaced. The most dependable way to update its stored credit card is through the official website: sign in, open your account settings, find the payment section, save the replacement card, and confirm that it is listed before renting or buying another title.

How to update your Vudu credit card online
- Open the official website. Use Fandango at Home, rather than an unofficial support page or search-ad link.
- Sign in to your account. Use the email and password connected to your Vudu account, or use the matching linked-login option if you originally signed in through Walmart.com.
- Open Account or Settings. The current account area includes sections such as My Library, Account, Settings, Manage Devices, and Redeem a Code. The exact layout can change.
- Find the payment controls. Look for a section labeled Payment, Payment Methods, Billing Information, or something similar.
- Edit or add the card. Select Edit, Update, or Replace beside the existing card. If those controls are unavailable, choose Add payment method if the account offers it.
- Enter the new card information. Have the card number, expiration month and year, CVV, billing name, billing address, and ZIP code ready. Enter the billing details exactly as recorded by the card issuer.
- Save the change. Complete any verification request shown by the site. The service terms note that access may be temporarily disrupted while new card information is verified.
- Confirm the result. Check that the new card’s last four digits and expiration date appear. If the account supports multiple cards, make sure the replacement is selected as the default or preferred method.
The public account page confirms the main account-management areas, but the authenticated payment form and its button labels may vary by account and site version. For that reason, follow the payment or billing concept rather than relying on one exact menu name. View the official account-management page.
Can you update the card in the Vudu app?
Possibly, but do not assume every Roku, smart-TV, game-console, mobile, or streaming-device app exposes full billing controls. If your app clearly shows an account-payment option, follow the same general process. If it does not, use the official website in a desktop or mobile browser. The website is the more reliable route for changing account details.

If you cannot find a payment or billing option
- Switch from the TV or streaming app to a desktop or mobile browser.
- Sign out, then sign in again.
- Try a private or incognito window.
- Use another supported browser or temporarily disable extensions that interfere with forms.
- Clear the site’s stored data if the account page is incomplete.
- Add the replacement card before trying to remove the old one, if that option is available.
- If the controls remain missing, use official Fandango at Home/Vudu support.
Do not repeatedly submit card details when the page is malfunctioning, and do not send your full card number or CVV through a forum, ordinary email, or an unofficial support service.
Do you need the old card?
Usually, you need access to the account rather than the physical old card. This is useful when the card expired, was lost, or was replaced. However, an account, issuer, or fraud-prevention system may request additional verification, so the old card cannot be ruled out in every situation.

If the card was stolen or compromised, contact the card issuer first and request a replacement. Changing the card stored in Vudu/Fandango at Home does not protect the compromised card anywhere else. If you suspect unauthorized access to the account, change its password as well.
What if the new card is declined?
Work through these checks in order:
- Recheck the card number, expiration date, and CVV.
- Confirm that the billing address and ZIP code match the issuer’s records.
- Make sure the card is enabled for online or card-not-present transactions.
- Check available credit or account balance.
- Ask the issuer whether it blocked the transaction for fraud or another security reason.
- Wait briefly and try again if the site is still verifying the replacement card.
- Try another supported payment method if your account provides one.
Updating the card does not necessarily retry every previously failed charge automatically. If you still cannot complete a rental or purchase after the issuer confirms the card is valid, contact official Fandango at Home/Vudu support.

Forgot your password or use Walmart to sign in?
Go to the official password-reset page, select Forgot password? if prompted, enter the account email, and follow the reset link sent when an account is found. Then return to Account or Settings and update the payment method.
If you originally used a Walmart-linked login, choose the matching Walmart.com sign-in route instead of creating a new account accidentally. The official site provides a Walmart-linked sign-in option.

Can you remove the old card?
That depends on the account’s current controls and state. Some accounts may require you to add a replacement first, while an active transaction or verification process may temporarily restrict changes. If multiple cards are saved, adding a new card may not automatically make it the default, so check for a Default, Preferred, or selection control.

What changing the card does—and does not do
Vudu’s service terms state that applicable rentals, purchases, subscriptions, taxes, and other charges are charged to the payment method stored in the account, and that changing account information can change the method used for future charges. Read the Vudu service terms.

Changing the stored card does not automatically refund a completed purchase, reverse a completed transaction, change a rental’s expiration window, or transfer content to another account. Do not make a needless purchase just to test the card; verify the displayed card details and proceed with a transaction only when you actually intend to rent or buy.
Security reminders
- Check that you are on the official athome.fandango.com or official support domain before signing in.
- Never post a full card number, CVV, or billing address publicly.
- Do not send payment details by ordinary email unless an official support process explicitly provides a secure payment form.
- If the old card was compromised, replace it with the issuer and update other services separately.
Gift cards are handled separately from stored credit cards. They may be purchased or redeemed through the official Fandango at Home gift-card page, with balance information available through the official balance-check page. Availability and payment options can vary by account and region.
