You can loop a Hindi remix or playlist in OBS and send it to YouTube, but clear the music rights before you test or go live. A license does not necessarily prevent YouTube from interrupting the broadcast: if a rights holder uses Content ID, ask them to allowlist your channel. OBS can repeat local files; it cannot make an indefinite, uninterrupted YouTube broadcast guaranteed.
First, clear the rights to every track
Before building the stream, confirm that you have permission for each recording and the underlying composition. A remix may involve separate sound-recording and composition rights, as well as publishers and other royalty participants. YouTube puts responsibility on the creator to hold the necessary music rights for live content in the relevant territories. Its livestream terms and conditions include music licensing rights among those required.
Get written confirmation that covers YouTube live broadcasts, the territories where you intend to stream, monetization if applicable, and archived replays. Keep the license and related correspondence. Credit, a purchase receipt, a “free download” label, or seeing another channel use the song does not establish that you have these permissions. YouTube also warns that music labeled free can still receive Content ID claims; see its copyright guidance.
Ask about Content ID before testing
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A stream can be interrupted even if you have a license when the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel. If the owner uses Content ID, ask them to add your channel to its allowlist before testing with that music. Details are in YouTube’s live-streaming restrictions guidance.

Choose a music source by its actual scope
- A direct license: Confirm live use, replay and archive use, territories, monetization, edits or remixes, attribution, and Content ID handling with the licensor. “Royalty-free” does not by itself answer these questions.
- YouTube Audio Library: YouTube describes its production music and sound effects as copyright-safe for YouTube videos. Check the individual track’s terms for live and archived use; tracks under Creative Commons may require the attribution specified by their license. Do not assume video-use wording automatically covers a live broadcast.
- Creator Music: YouTube’s Creator Music FAQ says it does not currently support licensing music for live content. Do not treat its video-use terms as permission for this stream.
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube’s stated eligibility requirements include a verified channel and no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Check the current status and setup in YouTube Studio before planning the broadcast. YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance explains the channel requirement.
Build a looping music scene in OBS
Use a static image or another visual you have the rights to show, together with the audio source. For one recording, OBS Media Source is the simplest option. For several tracks, use VLC Video to make a playlist. Test the chosen source before connecting it to a public stream.

- Add a visual: In your scene, add the image or other intended visual source. Check that it fills the canvas as expected and does not expose unintended desktop content.
- Loop one file: Add a Media Source, select the audio or video file, and enable Loop in its properties. Confirm that the file starts, reaches its end, and begins again.
- Loop a playlist: Add a VLC Video source, create or select the playlist, and enable Loop Playlist. Shuffle is optional. Check the order, track transitions, and audio levels. VLC Video requires VLC to be installed; when using 64-bit OBS, use the matching 64-bit VLC version.
- Check audio and video: Confirm that the OBS audio meter moves during playback, the intended visual appears, and the output is not muted or clipping. Listen through a complete transition between tracks.

Connect OBS to YouTube and test privately
- Create or select a stream: Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room. Create an event or select the stream you intend to use, then choose the encoder workflow.
- Copy the stream details: Enter YouTube’s stream URL and stream key in OBS’s stream settings. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your stream. YouTube’s encoder setup guide covers the connection.
- Run a short test: Use OBS’s Auto-Configuration Wizard, then start the encoder and check the preview and watch page. Use an unlisted test if you want to check the full path without announcing a public broadcast.
- Verify the whole program: Check that the correct playlist plays in order, looping works, audio is audible and steady, the visual is correct, and YouTube reports usable audio and video. Do not test with uncleared tracks.
OBS says performance depends on the encoder, resolution, frame rate, and scene complexity; compatible hardware alone does not guarantee that a system can sustain streaming. Its Auto-Configuration Wizard guidance recommends configuring and testing for the intended setup. Try the actual machine, scene, and network rather than relying on a generic hardware recommendation.

Plan realistically for a stream described as 24/7
A looping source can repeat while OBS is running, but that is not the same as a guaranteed uninterrupted 24/7 YouTube event. OBS depends on the computer, encoder, power, and network staying available. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived in its encoder streaming guidance; that archive guidance does not establish indefinite event support or guarantee that any stream will stay live for 12 hours.
If you plan to run a long event or schedule multiple events, verify the current Live Control Room workflow and settings for your account. Be transparent with viewers about planned breaks. Monitor the stream and have a way to restore the encoder if the computer, connection, or YouTube session stops.

Troubleshoot common failures
- YouTube interrupts the stream or shows a copyright warning: Stop and identify the matched material. Confirm the license covers live use and the relevant territory; ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting. Do not restart with the same track until the rights issue is resolved.
- The stream will not connect: Check that the stream URL and key in OBS match the selected YouTube event. If the key may have been exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
- The playlist stops or does not repeat: Confirm that the intended files are in the VLC playlist and that Loop Playlist is enabled. For a single file, verify the Media Source’s Loop setting. Test the end-to-start transition before going live.
- There is no sound: Check the source’s audio meter in OBS, the source and output mute states, and the YouTube preview. Confirm that the selected files contain an audio track.
- Video or audio becomes unstable: Reduce encoding demands or scene complexity and repeat a test on the intended machine and connection. OBS’s wizard can suggest settings, but it cannot guarantee performance on a particular system or network.
- The broadcast stops after running for a long time: Do not infer from archive behavior that the event is designed to run indefinitely. Check YouTube Studio for the session state and reconnect or create the next event using the current workflow.
