There is no guaranteed, universal seven-day NFL Sunday Ticket free trial. If YouTube or an authorized partner offers one to your account, the offer and its billing terms should appear at official checkout. If the checkout does not explicitly identify NFL Sunday Ticket and show a seven-day trial, do not assume a YouTube TV or YouTube Premium trial includes it.
This guide covers U.S. residential signups through YouTube TV, YouTube Primetime Channels, and eligible partner promotions. Check the product name, trial dates, first paid amount, and cancellation route before you submit payment.

Does NFL Sunday Ticket have a seven-day free trial?
Not as a standing offer for everyone. A seven-day trial may appear as an account-specific, seasonal, or partner promotion, but YouTube’s published NFL Sunday Ticket pricing and billing information does not establish a universal trial. The checkout screen for your account is the authority: proceed only if it explicitly names NFL Sunday Ticket, states the seven-day trial, and shows what happens when it ends.
A free trial for YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, or a different Primetime Channel is not automatically a trial of NFL Sunday Ticket. The Sunday Ticket package is sold either as an add-on to an active YouTube TV plan or through YouTube Primetime Channels without the YouTube TV base plan.

What to check before you sign up
- Account and location: Use the Google Account you want the membership attached to. These instructions are for U.S. residential customers; availability and distribution differ outside the United States. See the NFL support information about Sunday Ticket on YouTube.
- Payment method: A payment method may be required even for a trial. A temporary authorization is not necessarily a posted purchase; check the transaction status and your Google payment activity.
- Promotion eligibility: The offer may depend on account history, location, billing, device, or partner requirements. If the offer disappears after sign-in, do not assume you still qualify.
- Full cost: Check the post-trial price and any taxes or other charges. A YouTube TV purchase also requires its base plan. YouTube’s help page lists a base-plan price of $82.99 per month, but prices and promotions can change; confirm the amount shown in your own checkout.
- Package details: Confirm whether NFL RedZone is included or costs extra, when access starts, and whether cancelling ends access immediately or at the displayed trial end date.
- Viewing setup: Use a supported device and service area. YouTube’s current device compatibility information is a better guide than an old device list. YouTube recommends a minimum download speed of 7 Mbps for the best live-streaming experience.
Sign up through YouTube TV
This route is for people who want YouTube TV as well as Sunday Ticket. YouTube TV requires an active base plan for the add-on. Its official signup instructions use the following sequence; button wording can vary by account and device.
- Go to tv.youtube.com and sign in to the Google Account that should own the subscription.
- Select Start free trial or Sign up, as available, and choose YouTube TV.
- Choose the YouTube TV plan, then select NFL Sunday Ticket. Review any trial or promotional language attached specifically to Sunday Ticket.
- Choose available package options, such as NFL RedZone if offered, and continue to Checkout.
- Read the checkout summary. Confirm the Sunday Ticket trial duration, trial end date, first paid billing date and amount, any separate YouTube TV charge, renewal terms, and cancellation method.
- If the checkout explicitly offers the trial you want and the terms suit you, enter payment details and select Start membership.
If no seven-day NFL Sunday Ticket offer appears at checkout, stop. A YouTube TV trial alone does not make the Sunday Ticket add-on free.

Sign up through YouTube Primetime Channels
This is the standalone YouTube route for people who want Sunday Ticket without the full YouTube TV base plan. Go to YouTube’s official Sunday Ticket purchase information, follow the purchase link, and sign in to the Google Account where you want access. Select the Sunday Ticket offer and inspect the checkout for an explicit seven-day trial, its end date, the first paid amount, and renewal terms. Complete payment only if those details match what you intend to buy.
Pricing and billing presentation can differ between Primetime Channels and YouTube TV; YouTube also notes that Primetime Channels pricing may differ when purchased through the YouTube iOS app. Compare the actual totals shown before submitting, rather than relying on an older quoted price.

Partner promotions: activate through the partner
YouTube identifies Verizon, Frontier, and WOW! as providers that may offer Sunday Ticket signup, discounts, or other savings. Whether a promotion is available depends on the partner’s current terms and your eligibility; none should be assumed to include a seven-day trial. Start from the provider’s official site—Verizon, Frontier, or WOW!—and follow its activation instructions. Check which Google Account receives access and which company handles billing and cancellation. If the partner requires activation before purchase, do not buy Sunday Ticket separately first.
Confirm the trial and billing dates
- Open YouTube or YouTube TV while signed in to the same Google Account used at checkout.
- Open the account’s purchases, memberships, membership settings, or billing area; menu names may vary.
- Verify that NFL Sunday Ticket appears as an active membership. A generic welcome screen alone does not establish that the trial was applied.
- Compare the membership details with your confirmation email and Google payment activity. Record the trial start and end dates, next billing date, post-trial amount, renewal status, and cancellation route.
How to cancel before the first paid billing date
Use the service or partner that billed the subscription, and cancel before the deadline shown at checkout. Trial-specific access after cancellation depends on the offer, so read the confirmation screen rather than assuming access will last all seven days.

- Bought through YouTube TV: Sign in to YouTube TV with the purchasing account, open account or membership management, select NFL Sunday Ticket, and follow the cancellation prompts.
- Bought as a YouTube Primetime Channel: Manage it through YouTube’s paid memberships or purchases area for the account used to subscribe.
- Activated through a partner: Follow the partner’s cancellation instructions or contact its support. If the membership is not visible where expected, check the partner account and the Google Account used during activation.
Save the cancellation confirmation and check that the membership status or next billing date has changed. YouTube’s billing policy says month-to-month Sunday Ticket subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, with access generally continuing until the next billing date. Season passes generally cannot be cancelled or refunded, though automatic renewal can be turned off for future seasons. Those general terms do not override the specific conditions of a trial or promotion.

NFL Sunday Ticket is primarily for regular-season Sunday afternoon games carried on CBS and FOX that are outside your local market. Local games and nationally televised games follow separate availability rules; the package is not a way to watch every NFL game or every postseason game. NFL RedZone is a separate viewing option when offered, not the same thing as watching full out-of-market games. If you mainly want local broadcasts or nationally televised games, check the relevant local channels and services instead of assuming Sunday Ticket is necessary.

Troubleshoot common signup problems
- No trial wording appears: Your account is not being shown the offer. Do not complete the purchase if your goal is a free trial.
- Only YouTube TV shows a trial: That offer applies to the base service unless checkout separately says NFL Sunday Ticket is included in the trial.
- The offer vanishes after sign-in: Recheck the account, location, payment method, and prior membership eligibility. Do not rely on a promotion shown while signed out.
- The membership is missing after signup: Sign out and back in to the purchasing account, check Google payment history and the confirmation email, then contact official YouTube support.
- You see a charge: Check whether it is pending or posted and whether Sunday Ticket’s trial was actually listed in the confirmed order. If a paid charge appears inconsistent with checkout, contact YouTube or the billing partner promptly.
- You cannot find the cancellation option: Confirm which account and service billed you. A YouTube TV add-on, a Primetime Channel purchase, and a partner-billed subscription may require different cancellation paths.
- Partner activation fails: Check the partner’s eligibility and activation instructions, including the Google Account linked to the offer. YouTube lists phone and chat support at 833-389-2054; online support is available after signing in. NFL’s support page provides the service context.
Before you click “Start membership”
- The product name says NFL Sunday Ticket, not only YouTube TV or YouTube Premium.
- The checkout explicitly states the seven-day trial, if one is being offered.
- You know the trial end date, first paid billing date, and total amount due after the trial.
- You understand whether YouTube TV is an additional required charge and whether RedZone is included.
- You know which account and company will manage billing and cancellation.
