Wrapped cards could be shared from Spotify’s mobile experience. The original personalized playlist link, however, could open the recipient’s own Top Songs list—or the Wrapped hub—instead of yours. To share your actual songs reliably, copy them into a new, ordinary playlist and share that playlist’s link.

How to share your Wrapped 2022 cards
Spotify launched Wrapped 2022 on November 30, 2022. At launch, eligible iOS and Android users needed the then-current mobile app, version 8.7.78 or higher; that was a historical launch requirement, not a current 2026 version instruction. Spotify described sharing cards to social and messaging services, including WhatsApp and Line as new destinations that year. Spotify’s 2022 announcement lists the launch features.
- Open Spotify on your iPhone or Android phone.
- Open the Wrapped or 2022 Wrapped experience, if it is still available to your account.
- Advance to the card you want to send, such as top artists, top songs, listening minutes, genres, or Listening Personality.
- Tap Share.
- Choose a social or messaging app, or use an option to save the image if Spotify shows one.
If the card has no share button
Take a screenshot, crop out unrelated controls, and send the image manually. A screenshot preserves the visual result but is not a clickable playlist. For supported Spotify content, the three-dot menu may also offer a Spotify Code; recipients scan it from Spotify Search. Spotify documents these sharing options in its sharing guide.
How to share the Top Songs 2022 playlist that belongs to you
The original Your Top Songs 2022 destination was personalized. Spotify Community reports documented links that resolved according to the person opening them, showing that person’s own Top Songs 2022 playlist or, for an ineligible account, the Wrapped hub. That is why simply copying the original Wrapped URL may not send your list. See the documented issue and workaround in the Spotify Community discussion.

Reliable workaround: create a normal playlist
- Open Your Top Songs 2022 in Spotify.
- Create a new playlist, such as Alex’s Top Songs of 2022 or My Spotify Wrapped 2022.
- Add every track from the Wrapped list to the new playlist. Add them in the original order if you want the ranking order reproduced.
- Open the new playlist and use its three-dot menu.
- Select Share, then choose Copy link or a social or messaging app.
- Test the link in a private browser window or ask someone using another account to open it.
This reproduces the tracks in a standard user-created playlist. It does not recreate Wrapped’s animated cards, ranking graphics, play counts, or other story metadata. Spotify Community guidance recommended this copy-and-share approach in its 2022 Wrapped sharing discussion.
iPhone and Android steps
Add tracks to the replacement playlist
- Open Your Top Songs 2022.
- Tap the three-dot menu beside a track.
- Choose Add to playlist.
- Select your new playlist, repeating for the remaining tracks.
Spotify’s current instructions for creating playlists and adding tracks are in its playlist guide. Menu wording can vary slightly by operating system and app version.

Share it
Open the replacement playlist, tap the three dots, choose Share, then select an app, Copy link, or a Spotify Code. Spotify’s general Share from Spotify instructions cover the current mobile path.
Desktop and web-player steps
- Open Spotify’s desktop app or web player and find Your Top Songs 2022.
- Create a blank playlist from Your Library.
- Use each track’s menu and choose Add to Playlist, or drag tracks into the new playlist where that control is available.
- Open the replacement playlist.
- Right-click it, or open its three-dot menu, then choose Share → Copy link.

Why does my Wrapped link show someone else’s songs?
For the 2022 Top Songs destination, Spotify could treat the URL as a personalized Wrapped entry point rather than as a sender-owned playlist. The practical symptoms are a friend seeing their own Top Songs 2022 or being sent to the Wrapped hub. This behavior was documented in the Spotify Community report.
- Your friend sees their own list: the original link is resolving dynamically; share the replacement playlist instead.
- The link opens the Wrapped hub: the recipient may not be eligible for that historical experience.
- The link opens your named replacement playlist: you copied the tracks and shared the correct type of URL.
What if Wrapped 2022 is no longer visible?
Spotify’s 2022 announcement establishes how the feature worked at launch, not that the interactive story remains available indefinitely. Access can depend on your account, region, client, and whether Spotify still exposes that historical destination.

- Search Spotify for Your Top Songs 2022.
- Check Your Library and playlists.
- Try the mobile app as well as the desktop or web player, signed into the account that received Wrapped 2022.
- Update Spotify if you are attempting to open an available historical mobile experience.
- Look for saved screenshots, an earlier copied playlist, or a previously shared link.
- Request your Spotify account data. Spotify says downloaded data can include Wrapped information and one-off Wrapped stories where available, but it does not promise recovery of every 2022 card. See Understanding your data.
How to share only your top songs
One song
- Open the track.
- Tap or click its three-dot menu.
- Choose Share, then select an app or Copy link.
The recipient receives that specific track rather than being routed into a personalized Wrapped destination. The standard path is described in Spotify’s sharing guide.
Top five or top ten
Create a playlist named something like My Top 5 Songs of 2022, add the selected tracks, and share the new playlist’s normal link. This uses the same reliable workaround without requiring you to copy all approximately 100 songs.

Public versus private replacement playlists

Spotify’s playlist-publishing guidance says recipients of a shared playlist can play, follow, and share it. Make the playlist collaborative only if you want recipients to edit it; a normal shared playlist does not grant editing access.
Common edge cases
The order matters
Add tracks in the order shown in Wrapped and avoid sorting the replacement playlist alphabetically or by recently added. Spotify supports reordering playlist tracks, although editing controls can differ by client. Its playlist instructions cover current editing options.
A private link stopped working
Check whether the seven-day private-link window has passed, whether the playlist still exists, and whether you copied the link from the replacement playlist rather than the original Wrapped destination. Publish it publicly if you need a durable social-media link.
Personal versus global “Top Songs”
Your Top Songs 2022 is your individual listening result. Spotify’s global and U.S. rankings are separate editorial or statistical lists, documented in its 2022 rankings announcement; they are not a substitute for your personalized Wrapped playlist.
