Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →StreamShark’s Live Scheduler can play a playlist of pre-recorded videos as a continuous YouTube stream. You need a StreamShark subscription with a Dedicated Server attached, compatible video files that have finished syncing, and a confirmed route from the scheduler to your YouTube destination. The documented setup is to prepare the videos, create a Live Schedule, enable Loop Content, wait for readiness, then start it manually or at its scheduled time. StreamShark’s available guide does not spell out the exact current steps for connecting a Live Scheduler output to YouTube, so confirm that part with StreamShark for your account before building the full schedule.
What you need before setting up the loop
- StreamShark Live Scheduler access: StreamShark says Live Scheduler is currently available on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. Ask your representative or account manager about access or a trial before preparing a large playlist.
- A YouTube channel eligible to go live: YouTube’s current Help guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live-streaming activation may take up to 24 hours.
- Compatible VOD assets: Videos must use the Live Scheduler-compatible encoding profile and finish processing and syncing before the schedule is ready.
- A confirmed YouTube routing method: StreamShark documents native YouTube restreaming generally, but its published scheduler guide does not provide the exact current scheduler-output-to-YouTube procedure. Confirm the destination setup in your account or with StreamShark support; do not assume the encoder workflow below is identical.
This is a prerecorded-video workflow. A camera, OBS, or a dedicated hardware encoder is not required to make the VOD playlist loop. Those tools are relevant to a separate live-input production.
Prepare and upload the videos
- Check each file’s size. StreamShark’s V2 VOD instructions say files smaller than 5 GB can be uploaded from a computer. For larger files, upload them to the file bucket first, then select them from there.
- Set the encoding profile. For new videos, add the metadata and choose Live Scheduler HD. For existing VOD, change the profile in that asset’s settings.
- Confirm the assets are active and compatible. Let StreamShark process and sync the selected videos. A schedule cannot be treated as ready until its content has synced.
- Check rights before scheduling. Use footage, music, narration, and other material you have permission to broadcast on YouTube. A continuous loop does not change the rights status of the underlying content or guarantee that YouTube will keep a stream available.
Create the Live Schedule and turn on looping
- In the StreamShark interface, create a Live Schedule and give it a clear title.
- Choose whether the schedule should start manually or at a scheduled time.
- Add the prepared VOD assets and arrange them in the order you want viewers to see them.
- Enable Loop Content in the schedule options. StreamShark documents that this setting keeps the playlist playing indefinitely until someone manually stops the broadcast. Without it, the schedule ends when the selected videos finish.
- Save the schedule and allow the assets to sync. When the schedule is ready, use Go Live Now for a manual start, or let it start at the configured time.
StreamShark says its redesigned interface is still being rolled out, and its instructions include both new and legacy-interface directions. Menu locations and screen layout may differ by account; if you do not see a setting, consult the current account interface or StreamShark support rather than relying on an exact legacy location.
Connect the schedule to YouTube
Before going live, verify how your account sends the Live Scheduler output to YouTube. StreamShark documents native YouTube restreaming workflows, but the cited Live Scheduler instructions do not show the current scheduler-to-YouTube connection sequence. Ask StreamShark which destination controls apply to your account and whether any additional setup is required.

YouTube’s general encoder setup uses a stream URL and stream key. YouTube describes a stream key as similar to a stream’s password and address. In an encoder workflow, you create or schedule a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and enter those credentials in the encoder. Those instructions establish YouTube’s general encoder method; they do not prove that StreamShark’s native scheduler route uses the same controls or requires you to enter credentials in the same place.
Keep stream keys private. If you use an encoder for a separate live-input setup, copy the key only into the intended encoder or service field, and replace it in YouTube if you believe it has been exposed.

When OBS or an encoder is relevant
Use OBS or a hardware encoder when the source is live input, such as a camera or event feed. StreamShark’s OBS guide describes creating a live stream in the StreamShark portal, then setting OBS to a custom streaming server with the portal’s Server URL and Stream Name. Match OBS’s output bitrate and resolution to the selected StreamShark transcode profile.
| StreamShark OBS guide profile example | Video bitrate | Audio bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p | 5,000 Kbps | 128 Kbps |
| 720p | 3,000 Kbps | 128 Kbps |
These are settings listed in StreamShark’s OBS guide, not universal recommendations for every network, channel, or current YouTube destination. Follow the profile selected for your StreamShark live stream and test the actual encoder-to-destination path. StreamShark supports software or hardware encoding for live input; YouTube also describes software and standalone hardware as alternatives.

For a camera-based stream, YouTube recommends testing before the event, checking the Live Control Room preview, monitoring stream quality, and checking failover if you configured a backup encoder. These are optional production checks for live input, not prerequisites for the prerecorded Live Scheduler loop.
Operational checks and common problems
- Live Scheduler is unavailable: Check whether the subscription has a Dedicated Server attached. Contact your account representative or manager about access or a trial.
- The schedule is not ready: Check that every selected asset is active, uses the compatible profile, and has finished processing and syncing. Allow time for that work before the planned start.
- A large file will not upload from your computer: For files larger than 5 GB, follow StreamShark’s documented file-bucket upload route and select the uploaded asset there.
- The playlist stops at the end: Verify that Loop Content is enabled. Without looping, the schedule ends when its videos finish; with it, the documented behavior is to continue until manually stopped.
- You cannot find a setting or button: The interface redesign is rolling out, so labels and layout may vary. Check the current account UI or ask StreamShark support for the steps that match your version.
- YouTube will not let the channel start streaming: Confirm channel verification and whether a live-streaming restriction occurred in the prior 90 days. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
- The scheduler is ready but YouTube is not receiving it: Reconfirm the scheduler-to-YouTube route with StreamShark. Do not substitute generic encoder instructions for the native scheduler setup unless StreamShark confirms that is the correct path for your account.
YouTube archives and continuous broadcasts
YouTube’s Help guidance says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement does not establish how a continuous broadcast longer than 12 hours will be archived, so do not count on a 24/7 loop becoming one complete replay. If a replay matters, confirm current YouTube behavior and plan separate recordings or shorter scheduled sessions as appropriate.
