You can run a 24/7 Marathi music radio-style channel on YouTube with OBS by preparing a rights-cleared playlist, connecting OBS to a YouTube encoder stream, and keeping the computer, power, and internet connection running. First, confirm you have permission to livestream every recording; a license by itself may not stop YouTube from interrupting a song. Then test the whole setup before making it public and decide how you will handle interruptions and archives.
Before you set up OBS, clear the music rights
Make a rights inventory for every recording and composition you plan to play. Confirm who owns or administers each one, which territories your permission covers, whether it includes live streaming, and whether it allows a replay or archive. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility for necessary rights on the channel provider, including relevant rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants.
Do not assume a track is cleared because it is available on a music service, credited in the description, or described as “copyright-free.” YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can lead to a placeholder over the stream, a warning, temporary interruption, termination, or a strike. Even a licensed track may be interrupted if its rights owner has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Ask the relevant rights owner, label, publisher, or distributor to confirm both live-use permission and any required Content ID allowlisting before launch.
The exact Indian licensing and collecting-society obligations depend on the catalog and permissions involved; general YouTube terms do not resolve those details for a particular Marathi playlist. Confirm them with the relevant rights holders or qualified local counsel.

Check that the channel can livestream
YouTube’s current Help guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time livestream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so complete this step well before your planned start. YouTube also says livestreamers must be at least 16.
Prepare the Marathi radio program
Choose the audio and visual assets
Arrange the songs in the order you want them heard and prepare a simple, static visual if you do not need a changing picture. Keep a separate record of the playlist and its rights status. If you use album art, photographs, lyrics, or other visuals, verify the rights for those elements too; permission to play a recording does not automatically establish permission to display associated artwork.
Make the playback continuous
OBS is the encoder; your chosen media source or playlist workflow supplies the program audio and picture. OBS has different ways to use media and playlists, and there is no single universal playlist-loop setup established for every configuration. Consult the current OBS Project Knowledge Base or Help Portal for the workflow that matches your version and sources, then test that playback returns to the beginning and continues without gaps. Do not assume that a playlist will loop simply because the first track plays.
Enable the stream in YouTube Studio

In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create a stream or schedule one.

Choose the encoder route. Copy the server or stream URL and stream key shown for that broadcast.

In OBS, open the stream settings, select the YouTube service or enter the server URL, and paste in the stream key. Labels can vary by OBS version; use the current OBS documentation if the screen differs.

Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your broadcast. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
YouTube creates the watch page when the encoder begins sending. For a scheduled broadcast, wait for the encoder preview to appear in the Live Control Room, check it, and select Go live there when ready.

For a static-image radio stream, standard SDR output is a sensible starting point. Use the YouTube encoder recommendations below as ingest targets, not guarantees of the quality your connection will deliver. Select the resolution and frame rate your computer and upload connection can sustain.

Test privately before going public

Set the broadcast to unlisted or private for the test, using the same playlist and visual assets planned for the public stream.

Start streaming from OBS and wait for the Live Control Room preview. Confirm the correct broadcast appears and that the picture and audio are present.

Listen for clipping, silence, abrupt gaps, and volume changes between tracks. Check the watch page on a second device as well as the OBS preview.

Watch YouTube’s stream-health indicators and OBS for dropped frames or connection trouble. Test long enough to observe playlist transitions and confirm the playback loop works.

Only after the test is satisfactory should you schedule or start the public broadcast. Continue to monitor stream health after launch.
Keep a local OBS stream running around the clock
A locally encoded 24/7 stream needs more than a playlist: the computer, OBS, power, and outbound internet must all remain available. YouTube recommends upload capacity at least equal to the total stream bitrate plus 20% headroom. For example, a 5 Mbps video stream with 128 Kbps audio has a nominal combined rate of about 5.13 Mbps, so 20% headroom makes roughly 6.16 Mbps a minimum planning figure before allowing for network variation or other devices. Measure upload speed, not just download speed, and test on the connection the channel will actually use. Shared networks can reduce available capacity.

Decide who will notice a failure and restart OBS or the broadcast. A local setup depends on that person, the device, power, and the network; the guidance does not guarantee a particular automatic-restart or alerting method. Assess those dependencies against how quickly you need to restore the stream.

A stream that continues beyond 12 hours may not be captured by YouTube at all. If you want a replay, schedule segments under 12 hours and keep a local recording backup; check that the recording file continues to grow during operation. A continuously audible channel and a complete archived video are separate goals, so choose a schedule that fits both if replay matters.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
YouTube does not accept the stream key

Check that you copied the key for the correct broadcast and that the server URL and key have not been swapped.

Replace a key that may have been exposed, then update the value in OBS. Do not share screenshots containing the key.

The Live Control Room has no preview

Confirm OBS is actively streaming and is using the correct server URL and key. Give the encoder connection time to appear, then check OBS for connection errors.

If this is the channel’s first livestream, verify that enablement is complete; YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours.
The stream buffers or OBS drops frames

Compare the total video-and-audio bitrate with measured upload capacity. Reduce resolution or bitrate if needed, preserve the recommended 20% headroom, and retest when other network users are active.

Check for instability in the actual outbound connection and avoid relying on a download-speed result as evidence of sufficient upload.

Audio is silent, clipped, or stops between songs

Check that the selected OBS media source is active and that the audio meter moves. Listen to the private test on another device and lower levels if peaks distort.

Inspect the playlist transition and loop behavior; confirm the source advances and returns to the beginning rather than reaching the end and stopping.
YouTube interrupts a song or stops the broadcast

Check the Live Control Room notice and identify the matched content. A technical restart does not resolve a rights issue; confirm live permission and Content ID allowlisting with the rights owner before using the track again.
The stream is live but no replay appears

Check the broadcast duration. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured automatically; use shorter planned segments and local recording if a complete replay is important.
