To schedule morning and evening Hindi music on a 24/7 YouTube stream, schedule the live broadcast in YouTube Studio, then use a separate playback or automation system to switch playlists at the right local times. YouTube Studio schedules the event and connects the encoder; its documented controls do not switch playlists within one continuous broadcast.
Separate the live-event schedule from the playlist schedule
There are two jobs: YouTube Studio manages the live event and its watch page; a playback system supplies the audio and visuals to the encoder and changes the playlist. A scheduled stream still needs an encoder feed. Scheduling a broadcast does not select what plays at a particular hour.
For a station that should stay live around the clock, use one continuous feed and make the morning and evening changes in the playback layer. If you want distinct event pages instead, schedule separate morning and evening broadcasts, each with its own start time and metadata. YouTube’s API documentation also describes recurring events and a continuous 24/7 feed, but the media supplied to that feed remains a separate concern. Plan the Hindi music handoffs
Before configuring YouTube, write down the station’s time zone and the exact morning and evening changeover times. This matters if the audience is in India but the operator or hosted playback system is elsewhere: set the schedule according to the intended station time, not an assumed server time.

- Choose which tracks and visuals belong in each playlist, and decide whether to insert station IDs or a transition between them.
- Decide what should play if a scheduled playlist is missing, ends early, or fails to load. A fallback playlist helps avoid a silent or stalled output.
- Confirm that the playback system can change playlists on a clock while keeping the outgoing feed continuous. Its scheduling and recovery behavior depends on the selected software or provider.
- Test the changeover in a private or otherwise non-public setup. Check both the audio and visual feed in YouTube’s preview before using the schedule for viewers.
YouTube’s official documentation explains broadcast and stream management, not a built-in time-of-day playlist scheduler. Choose and verify the playback or automation layer separately; no specific third-party playlist product is established here. YouTube Live Streaming API: Broadcasts and Streams
Schedule the continuous live broadcast in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live, open Manage, then choose Schedule Stream.
- Create a new stream or reuse settings from a previous one. Set the title, description, visibility, thumbnail, and intended start time. Make the Hindi music format and continuous nature clear in the metadata.
- Share the scheduled watch-page URL with your audience. YouTube says scheduling lets you promote the stream and gives viewers an opportunity to set reminders. YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder
Connect an encoder and test the feed
- Copy the stream URL (server URL) and stream key shown in YouTube’s live setup, then enter them in the encoder or streaming system that will send your playlist output to YouTube. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to the event.
- Start the encoder feed and wait for YouTube’s preview in Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream using the standard Studio workflow, select Go live when the preview is ready.
- Before going public, test the complete path: the expected playlist is playing, the audio is audible, visuals are correct, and YouTube is receiving the feed. The API workflow describes testing with a monitor stream and confirming that the stream is active before transitioning the broadcast to live. - After the test, confirm that at least one morning-to-evening or evening-to-morning handoff occurs at the intended station time. Keep an operator or alerting procedure available for the initial launch and changeovers.
With API automation, YouTube represents the event as a liveBroadcast and the incoming feed as a liveStream; a broadcast is bound to a stream. API transitions can automate broadcast states, but they do not themselves change the media sent by the encoder. The playback system still has to perform the playlist handoff. Choose how to keep the feed running

Clear music rights before you go live
You need rights for the actual uses in the stream—not merely access to a song or permission to include it in an ordinary video. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights for live content worldwide, including music licensing rights. YouTube Livestream terms and conditions

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. Its help guidance says it may replace the stream with a placeholder when third-party content is identified, and may interrupt or terminate the stream if the issue continues. Even with a license, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; otherwise, the stream may still be interrupted. YouTube Help: Troubleshoot live stream errors
Keep a rights record for every track and visual. Confirm that permission covers the relevant territories, live streaming, and any archived playback, along with the license term and any attribution or reporting conditions. A license for a recording does not necessarily cover the composition, and a license for on-demand video should not be assumed to cover a continuous live stream.

Plan the archive separately
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A continuous 24/7 broadcast exceeds that stated range, so do not assume it will produce one complete replay. Decide whether you need a separate recording or a different archive workflow, and check YouTube’s current behavior before relying on the live stream as a complete on-demand copy. The event is scheduled, but no preview appears
Check that the encoder is running and that it has the correct YouTube server URL and stream key for this event. Confirm that the playback system is producing output, then wait for the feed to appear in Live Control Room before selecting Go live.

Check the playback system’s schedule, configured time zone, and handoff rules. YouTube Studio’s broadcast schedule does not control playlist changes; verify the automation in the system supplying the media.

The changeover happens at the wrong hour
Compare the station’s intended time zone with the time zone used by the playback scheduler and any hosted service. Test the next handoff in a private monitor setup rather than waiting for viewers to report it.
The stream is interrupted despite having a music license
Confirm that the license covers YouTube live streaming, the territories where the stream is available, and any archive use. Ask the rights holder whether your channel has been added to the Content ID allowlist for the licensed content.
The live feed ends and there is no full replay
Do not rely on YouTube’s stated automatic archive range for a stream that runs continuously beyond 12 hours. Check the current platform behavior and use a separate recording or archive plan if a complete replay is required.
