Choose earning methods that fit a continuous review stream
These routes can coexist, but each depends on different conditions. Check feature availability in YouTube Studio and avoid treating any one of them as guaranteed income.

YouTube reported that creators who chose automatic live mid-rolls saw an average uplift of over 20% in instream ad revenue per hour. This was YouTube’s January 2024 comparison across 207 countries, not an individual earnings forecast. YouTube also reported a global increase of over 25% in watch time during 2023 for videos that help people shop, including VOD, Shorts and live; that aggregate statistic does not establish what a particular stream will earn. Check whether your channel can use YouTube Shopping
YouTube’s Shopping affiliate program lets eligible creators tag participating-brand products in videos, Shorts and live streams, with the possibility of earning commission on qualifying purchases. Rates vary and can change; do not promise a fixed rate or quote one without checking the active terms.

- In YouTube Studio, open Earn and check the Shopping area for your channel’s eligibility and available products.
- Confirm that the products and retailers are available to your channel and audience. YouTube’s published list includes Argentina, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam; access and participating sellers can change.
- Choose only products that the stream prominently features, uses safely and discusses meaningfully. A review stream is not a reason to tag unrelated items.

Set up product tags for a live review
YouTube’s live-shopping instructions allow up to 60 products to be tagged. You can arrange, pin and remove tagged products, and add tags after a stream so products can appear during replay. YouTube recommends completing tags at least 30 minutes before going live: changes made during a stream may not appear to viewers who are already watching.

- In Studio’s live-stream setup, open the product-tagging controls and select items from the available catalog.
- Arrange items in the order they appear in the show. Pin the item currently being reviewed, then update the pinned product when the segment changes.
- Check the stream and replay experience, including whether product tags are available to viewers in the relevant region.
- For a finished broadcast, use the post-stream tagging option if available so products can remain visible during replay.
Product tags may not display on streams with claimed content, streams marked Made for Kids, content deemed limited or ineligible for monetization, paid content, or streams blocked for ads. You must control or clear the rights to stream content, including necessary music rights. Refer to YouTube’s live product-tagging instructions and restrictions.
Make the 24/7 format valuable, not merely continuous
A stream that simply repeats the same review loop can create a monetization risk. YouTube’s channel monetization policy says similar videos need materially varied substance and creative, educational or other value. It gives product-review series with a distinct storyline, focus or concept as a potentially acceptable example; highly repetitive or mass-produced material that feels interchangeable and offers little value may be ineligible.

Build a real program rather than relying on uptime as the product:
- Give each review segment a distinct question, comparison or use case.
- Include original demonstrations, commentary and clear explanations of limitations, not just a product image and sales link.
- Rotate through useful segments and answer audience questions when you can; do not present a repeated prerecorded segment as a new live interaction.
- Use only footage and music you have rights to use. Product tagging can be restricted when content has a claim.
These are practical ways to apply YouTube’s policy examples, not a guarantee that a channel or stream will pass monetization review. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

Disclose commissions, gifts and sponsorships throughout the stream
Tell viewers plainly when purchases through tagged products may earn you a commission. For a long livestream, a disclosure only at the start can miss people who join later. The FTC advises periodic or continuous clear disclosure during livestream endorsements and disclosure in the description. For U.S. viewers, explain the relationship in ordinary language, make the notice readable and repeat it during the broadcast. For example: “I may earn a commission if you buy through these product links.” This example is guidance, not legal advice for other jurisdictions.
If a brand influences the content in exchange for value—including payment, a gifted product or sponsorship—YouTube treats that as branded content. Declare it using Studio’s paid-promotion setting and make the relationship clear and prominent in the stream and description. Use ads and fan funding without assuming a fixed return
Eligible monetizing creators can use livestream ads, Super Chat, Super Stickers and memberships. YouTube may offer pre-roll and display ads and automatic or manual mid-rolls, but it does not guarantee an ad for every viewer or slot. Revenue depends on factors such as actual serving, audience behavior and advertiser suitability, so a 24/7 schedule alone cannot support a reliable hourly estimate.
Public archived livestreams can count toward qualified YPP watch hours; streams that are not archived do not, according to YouTube’s August 2026 explanation. Check the current YPP rules and the archive status of each broadcast rather than assuming every live hour counts. YouTube’s YPP overview describes eligibility and qualifying watch hours.

Track results and improve the show
Measure each earning route separately instead of judging the program by uptime. In Studio, review available Shopping and live analytics, then compare which review segments attract attention and which tagged products viewers actually engage with. Keep descriptions, tags and disclosures aligned with what is currently on screen. No public evidence establishes a typical revenue outcome for 24/7 product-review livestreams, so use your channel’s own data rather than an assumed hourly rate.
