To keep Assamese naam kirtan playing on YouTube around the clock, prepare rights-cleared recordings and visuals, enable live streaming on your channel, then send a continuous feed from an encoder or a cloud playout service. Test the full program before sharing it, monitor stream health, and plan how to divide or preserve the broadcast: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, so do not count on one uninterrupted 24/7 session becoming a complete replay.
Choose how to keep the stream running
There are two practical approaches for prerecorded naam kirtan: run an encoder on a computer you can keep powered and connected, or use a cloud service that plays uploaded videos. YouTube lists OBS as free, open-source streaming software and lists cloud tools for 24/7 prerecorded streaming on its encoder guide. A YouTube listing is not an endorsement; check a provider’s current capabilities, terms, and continuity arrangements before choosing it.
- Local encoder: gives you direct control over the feed, but the computer, power, internet connection, and monitoring plan must remain dependable.
- Cloud playout: can keep prerecorded material running without relying on a home computer. Check that the service supports your intended files and workflow.
Prepare your channel and program
Enable live streaming ahead of time
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Its current guidance also sets a minimum age of 16 to live stream. First-time enablement can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until launch day. YouTube for Artists also advises enabling the first stream at least 24 hours in advance. Gather recordings and visuals you can broadcast
Make an inventory of each recording, composition, arrangement, performance, and visual, along with the permission or license covering its use. A devotional lyric or traditional melody does not automatically make a particular arrangement or recording free to rebroadcast. The rights status depends on the specific work, recording, permissions, and territory. No specific Assamese repertoire or recording is identified here, so its ownership, public-domain status, license coverage, and Content ID allowlisting cannot be established.

Choose a visual suitable for a continuous program, such as an authorized still image or a prepared video. A microphone is needed only if singers or a host will perform live; it is not required for prerecorded playback. YouTube’s encoder guide describes the equipment that may be used for live production: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Create the YouTube broadcast and connect an encoder
- In YouTube Studio, select Go Live. Use the Stream workflow to create a stream, or open Manage to schedule one. Scheduling can create a shareable page and reminders.
- In the Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key into the matching server and key fields in your encoder. Treat the key like a password: do not show it on screen or publish it.
- Configure the encoder using YouTube’s recommendations below, then load the authorized audio and visual program. For a local workflow, OBS is one free, open-source option listed by YouTube.
- Start the encoder output and check the Live Control Room preview. Depending on the workflow, you may also need to select the Studio control to go live.

Choose settings your connection can sustain
YouTube recommends RTMPS, a secure form of RTMP, and advises choosing a quality that is reliable for the available upload connection. Its encoder guidance gives protocol, codec, frame-rate, keyframe, audio, and bitrate recommendations. For H.264, its examples include 10 Mbps at 1080p/30 fps and 6 Mbps at 720p/60 fps. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that your computer or internet connection can sustain them. Review the current table in YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions guide.
For a mostly static devotional visual, a high frame rate may not add much. Test with the actual audio and visuals, choose a quality your upload connection can maintain with headroom, and adjust if stream health warnings appear. A setting that works during a quiet test may not remain reliable when other people or devices share the connection.

Test, launch, and monitor the stream
- Run an unlisted test using the same audio and visual movement planned for the public program.
- Check the Live Control Room preview, confirm that sound is audible and not clipping, and watch for stream-health warnings.
- Verify that the internet upload remains stable at the selected settings. YouTube recommends testing before a stream and monitoring stream health.
- When the feed looks and sounds right, schedule or start the public broadcast and share its watch page.
- Keep an operator or monitoring plan in place to catch a stopped feed, muted audio, or a health warning. A continuous stream still needs a response plan when something fails.

Handle music copyright before going live
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including content from another live broadcast. If it identifies a match, it may replace the live picture with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the material. Continuing to show the matched content can interrupt or terminate the stream, and a copyright strike can also end a live stream. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.

If you have licensed third-party material, YouTube says to ask the rights owner to add your channel to the Content ID allowlist. A license by itself may not prevent a live interruption if the channel is not allowlisted. Content ID claims on an archived live stream are made after the stream ends if you archive it. For copyright-protected music, YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with a label or distributor; see its music-channel live guidance.
Do not infer rebroadcast rights from a recording being available online or from its devotional subject matter. Confirm rights for the actual composition, arrangement, performance, recording, and visuals you plan to use.

Plan for archives and long-running sessions
YouTube says live streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not promise an archive for a single session longer than 12 hours. If a complete replay matters, do not assume one uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast will provide it. Decide whether periodic endings and restarts fit your channel’s schedule and replay needs. Fix common problems
- You cannot start a live stream: confirm the channel is verified, check for a live-stream restriction, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement.
- The preview does not appear: check that the encoder is sending to the correct stream URL and that the stream key was copied accurately. Keep the key private.
- Stream health warns or the feed drops: reduce quality to a level the upload connection can sustain, check the connection and local power if using a computer, and retest before relaunching.
- The picture is replaced or the stream is interrupted: stop using the matched material and review the rights and Content ID allowlisting with the rights owner. A copyright strike may terminate the stream.
- You cannot find a full replay: a 24/7 session exceeds YouTube’s stated automatic-archive threshold for streams under 12 hours. Plan separate sessions if archives are important.
