Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →To loop one Hindi video indefinitely with FFmpeg, use -stream_loop -1 on the input. To rotate several videos, put them in a concat-demuxer playlist and loop that input. For a live YouTube feed, read local files in real time with -re, send the output to the current RTMPS URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room, and test the full setup before relying on it. Hindi audio does not require a special loop mode; file compatibility, YouTube settings, rights, and continuous process supervision matter more.
Choose a single video or a playlist
Repeat one video
Use -stream_loop -1 before the input it applies to. The value -1 requests infinite input looping. For local-file playback sent to a live destination, -re makes FFmpeg read at the file’s native rate instead of sending it as fast as possible. FFmpeg documents these input options in its command-line documentation.
ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -i hindi-video.mp4
-c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -b:v 4500k -maxrate 4500k -bufsize 9000k
-pix_fmt yuv420p -g 60 -c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100
-f flv "$YOUTUBE_RTMPS_URL/$STREAM_KEY"
This is a starting pattern, not a universal tested command. The example bitrate and GOP are illustrative; set resolution, frame rate, bitrate, keyframe interval, and codecs to match the source, your upload capacity, YouTube’s current recommendations, and your installed FFmpeg build. The output URL and key are placeholders: retrieve both from YouTube Live Control Room, not from an old copied command.
Rotate multiple videos
Create a plain-text playlist such as playlist.txt, with one file entry per line and the intended order:

file 'part-01.mp4'
file 'part-02.mp4'
file 'part-03.mp4'
Then use the concat demuxer and loop its input:
ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -f concat -safe 0 -i playlist.txt
-c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -b:v 4500k -maxrate 4500k -bufsize 9000k
-pix_fmt yuv420p -g 60 -c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100
-f flv "$YOUTUBE_RTMPS_URL/$STREAM_KEY"
The concat demuxer reads an ordered list; its format and options are described in the FFmpeg formats documentation. With -safe 0, the list can use paths that FFmpeg’s safe mode would otherwise reject. Keep the playlist and files accessible to the process, and use paths appropriate to its working directory.
Check files before choosing copy or transcode
Stream-copying with -c copy avoids encoding work, but it is suitable only when the source streams are compatible with the selected output and each other. For mixed clips, a normalized transcode is generally more dependable. Check each file with ffprobe (part of many FFmpeg builds) for video dimensions, frame rate, codec, pixel format, audio codec, and audio stream presence; inspect the installed version with ffmpeg -version.

| Workflow | Use it when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
Loop one input with -stream_loop -1 |
You intend to repeat a single prepared video. | Simple, but any bad source segment repeats indefinitely. |
| Loop a concat playlist | You want a planned sequence of clips. | More flexible; list upkeep and compatible source streams matter. |
Stream copy (-c copy) |
All streams already match the output needs and are compatible across the playlist. | Low CPU use, but restrictive; joins can expose codec or timestamp problems. |
| Transcode to a normalized profile | Inputs vary, or need scaling, frame-rate, codec, or audio changes. | Requires more processing and choices about quality and latency; test the result. |
Videos with different dimensions, frame rates, codecs, or audio layouts may fail at transitions or produce glitches unless normalized. Test the actual files in sequence. The Hindi language itself has no bearing on FFmpeg’s looping or transport; subtitles, metadata, and permission to broadcast are separate concerns.
Set the YouTube ingest parameters
YouTube Help recommends RTMPS for live ingest. Its encoder guidance, checked on October 3, 2026, lists H.264, H.265, and AV1 video; AAC or MP3 audio; constant bitrate (CBR); frame rates up to 60 fps; and a two-second recommended keyframe interval, with intervals not exceeding four seconds. Use the exact current bitrate range for the selected codec, resolution, and frame rate rather than copying the illustrative 4,500-kbit/s command value. Consult YouTube’s live encoder settings before setting production values.

| H.264 example from YouTube guidance | Minimum bitrate | Recommended bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p at 30 fps | 5 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
| 1080p at 60 fps | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
These figures are YouTube Help guidance, not a guarantee of viewer-side quality or a measurement of your connection. The sample command’s -g 60 yields a 60-frame GOP only when the output is 30 fps; at 60 fps, a two-second GOP would be 120 frames. Match GOP length to the actual frame rate and the two-second recommendation.
Keep the stream key private: YouTube treats it like a password. Do not publish it in a script, screenshot, or command example. Supply the current RTMPS server URL and key from Live Control Room, and protect any file or environment variable that stores them.

Run a preflight and keep the stream supervised
- Check the build and files. Record
ffmpeg -version, inspect inputs withffprobe, and confirm the playlist paths and order. - Confirm upload capacity. YouTube advises a speed test. Allow headroom above the video bitrate for audio and network variation rather than saturating the connection.
- Test representative content. Run an unlisted test using the actual playlist, with representative motion and sound. Confirm transitions, audio, aspect ratio, and YouTube’s stream-health status in Live Control Room.
- Start the production process. Use the current RTMPS URL and key, then watch local logs and YouTube stream health while the feed begins.
- Plan for unattended operation. Check available disk space and logs, and arrange process supervision, alerts, and a restart policy.
-stream_loop -1repeats input; it does not restart a crashed FFmpeg process or recover a disconnected YouTube ingest.
YouTube’s guidance recommends testing and monitoring rather than assuming a successful command remains healthy. A home PC must remain on, the network must stay connected, and the FFmpeg process must continue running for this self-hosted method to keep sending video.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured, and DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable on very long broadcasts. If preserving the full program matters, record locally or plan deliberate segments and verify the current channel and stream settings. Respect rights and channel policies
Looping a video does not grant permission to stream it. Before broadcasting Hindi films, music, devotional recordings, documentaries, or other material, confirm you have the necessary rights for live streaming and any resulting archive. YouTube may apply copyright restrictions or remove a stream; check its current copyright guidance for live streams. Repeating content also does not by itself establish eligibility for monetization: review YouTube’s current channel monetization policies, including its rules on reused and repetitive content.
Troubleshoot common failures
- Playlist stops or errors on a clip: check spelling, quoting, relative paths, permissions, and whether the process can read every file. Run the playlist from the same working directory as the production process or use valid paths.
- Glitch, freeze, or failure at a transition: compare the clips’ stream properties. Normalize dimensions, frame rate, codecs, and audio layout to a common profile, then test the joins.
- Video reaches YouTube too quickly: ensure
-reappears before the local-file input it applies to. - YouTube reports a weak or unstable stream: run an upload speed test, lower the output bitrate to a suitable current YouTube range if capacity is inadequate, and check network stability and stream health.
- Key or server connection fails: retrieve the active RTMPS URL and stream key again from Live Control Room; do not rely on an outdated endpoint or exposed key.
- Stream ends and does not resume: inspect FFmpeg’s logs and process status. The loop option is not a supervisor; use an external restart/alert plan or a managed cloud service.
- No complete archive appears: check duration and channel settings. Streams beyond YouTube’s 12-hour boundary may not be captured automatically.
