What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Short answer: Disney+ does not offer a standard free trial in the United States in 2025. The clearest way to receive Disney+ at no additional charge is to already have a grandfathered Verizon 5G Play More or 5G Get More plan that includes the Disney Bundle. Most other legitimate options are discounts, introductory promotions, bundles, or rewards—not universally free Disney+.
This guide focuses on legal U.S. options. Disney and Verizon promotions, prices, and eligibility rules can change, so confirm the final terms and renewal price before activating anything.
The genuine $0 option: a grandfathered Verizon plan
Some existing Verizon customers may have Disney+ included with their wireless plan. Verizon says its legacy 5G Play More and 5G Get More plans include Disney+ Premium, Hulu, and ESPN+ at no additional charge. Verizon describes the bundle as a promotional subscription worth $24.99 per month and limits it to one bundle per account.
This is not a new Disney+ free-trial loophole. It is a legacy carrier benefit that mainly helps people who already have one of those Verizon plans. Verizon’s current documentation says the offer is no longer available to add to new accounts, so switching to Verizon now will generally not produce this $0 version of the benefit.

If you already have an eligible plan, open My Verizon, select the account with the qualifying plan, and look in the plan perks, benefits, or add-ons area for the Disney Bundle activation option. Complete the activation through Verizon and then finish setting up or linking the Disney account when prompted. The exact labels can vary by account and plan.
Before activating, check whether you already pay Disney directly—or through Apple, Google, Amazon, or another billing partner. Verizon warns that an existing subscription may need separate management. Do not assume that activating the Verizon benefit automatically cancels a previous subscription; verify who bills you and look for a confirmation that the old charge has ended.
Current Verizon option: $10 per month, not free
Verizon’s current plan-perk page describes a different offer for eligible mobile and home-internet plans: an ad-supported Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle for $10 per month. Verizon lists the ordinary value as $19.99 per month, implying a $9.99 monthly saving against that stated retail price.
The important distinction is that this is a paid perk. It does not make Disney+ free, and the price of the qualifying Verizon plan is not included in the $10 figure. It can make sense if you already need the Verizon service and would otherwise pay for the included streaming services. It is usually poor math to take an expensive wireless or home-internet plan solely to obtain a streaming discount.
If you are comparing plans, calculate the total cost rather than focusing on the word “perk”:
- What would you pay for Verizon anyway?
- Would you actually use Hulu and ESPN+?
- Is the $10 streaming charge added to your Verizon bill?
- What happens to the Disney Bundle if you change or cancel the qualifying plan?
- Do you already have a Disney, Hulu, or ESPN+ subscription that could create duplicate billing?
If you already use Verizon, check the Verizon Disney Bundle perk in My Verizon before changing your plan: legacy 5G Play More and 5G Get More customers may have the bundle at no additional charge, while current eligible plans generally show the $10-per-month ad-supported version.

This is a meaningful standing discount, but it is not free access. Disney’s eligibility description limits the offer to qualifying U.S. residents or users connected to on-base internet in specified locations. The documentation also describes eligibility for new or returning subscribers and says the offer is not available to current Disney+ subscribers.

Because military eligibility and redemption rules can be specific, verify your status and the available redemption route before changing an existing subscription. Do not cancel a current plan until you know whether you qualify and understand when—or whether—you can rejoin under the discounted annual offer.

Disney’s six-month introductory promotion
Disney’s U.S. site currently displays a six-month introductory promotion for the Disney+ and Hulu bundle:
| Bundle | Introductory price | What happens afterward |
|---|---|---|
| Disney+ and Hulu, ad-supported | $11.99 per month for six months | Renews at the regular monthly price unless canceled |
| Disney+ and Hulu, premium | $17.99 per month for six months | Renews at the regular monthly price unless canceled |
This is a discounted introductory period, not a free trial. Disney says the subscription renews after the initial six-month term. Since Disney’s promotional end dates and renewal prices are volatile, record the date you start the offer and confirm the renewal amount on the checkout page.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe promotion may be worthwhile if you want Hulu as well as Disney+. It is not a sensible reason to pay for a bundle you would not otherwise use. Set a calendar reminder several days before the six-month period ends if you intend to cancel or downgrade.

- $11.99 per month for the ad-supported plan.
- $18.99 per month for the plan without ads.
The same page lists Disney+ and Hulu bundles starting at $12.99 per month, along with larger bundles that include services such as ESPN and HBO Max. The exact tier and advertising configuration matter, so compare like with like.
At the listed starting prices, the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle costs only $1 more per month than standalone ad-supported Disney+. That does not make Disney+ free, but it may be the better value if you would watch Hulu even occasionally. Conversely, buying a larger bundle is not a saving if you only want Disney+ and will not use the other services.

Effective Disney+ cost = bundle price − the value of services you would otherwise buy.
For example, if you already intend to pay separately for Hulu, a bundle may reduce your total entertainment bill. If Hulu would otherwise be unused, treat the entire bundle price as a Disney+ expense rather than calling it a discount.
Disney Visa rewards: a small offset, not a free subscription
Existing Disney Visa cardholders may be able to earn additional Disney Rewards Dollars on qualifying direct Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ purchases, subject to the card’s current rewards terms. Those rewards can reduce future Disney-related spending, but they do not provide an automatic Disney+ credit or entitlement.
This route also depends on how you are billed. The rewards documentation refers to qualifying direct purchases, so do not assume a Disney+ charge routed through Verizon, Apple, Google, Amazon, or another partner will receive the same treatment.
Disney Rewards Dollars are most relevant to someone who already has the card and already pays for qualifying Disney purchases. Opening a credit card solely to make Disney+ “free” is not a reliable savings strategy: rewards require spending, and card terms, eligibility, and rates should be reviewed independently of the streaming promotion.

What does not currently provide free Disney+ access
Disney+’s own free trial
Disney’s U.S. Help Center explicitly states that Disney+ currently has no free trial. Be skeptical of pages promising a hidden signup URL, a seven-day trial, or a special free Disney+ code unless the offer appears in Disney’s own current checkout flow.
A generic student discount
There is no current official U.S. Disney+ student-discount page identified in the research. Third-party articles may repeat old promotions or confuse Disney+ with another service. Treat a student offer as unverified unless Disney provides a live eligibility check and redemption flow.
Old Verizon promotions
Search results may still show historical six-month or one-year Verizon Disney Bundle promotions. Those offers should not be treated as current. Verizon’s present documentation distinguishes the grandfathered plan benefit from the current $10-per-month ad-supported perk and says some older offers can no longer be added.
Sharing a password outside your household
Disney’s Extra Member documentation describes a paid Extra Member option for certain plans. That is not a free-sharing loophole. Sharing credentials outside the permitted household or plan arrangement can also create account-security and access problems.
VPNs, pirated streams, leaked credentials, and account generators
A VPN does not create a legitimate Disney+ discount. Disney’s support documentation instructs users to disable VPNs or IP anonymizers when they cause location errors. Pirated streams, leaked credentials, and “free account” generators can violate service rules and expose you to phishing, malware, stolen payment data, or account theft.
Buying a Disney+ subscription card in the United States
Disney says subscription cards are no longer available for purchase in the United States. An already-issued card may still be redeemable, depending on its terms, but buying a newly advertised U.S. Disney+ subscription card is not a dependable current strategy.
Which option is best for you?
| Your situation | Most relevant route | Realistic cost | Main warning |
|---|---|---|---|
| You already have Verizon 5G Play More or 5G Get More | Check the grandfathered Disney Bundle | $0 additional charge if the benefit is active | It is generally unavailable to add to new accounts; check for duplicate billing. |
| You already have an eligible current Verizon plan | Check the current Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ perk | $10 per month plus your Verizon plan | Do not buy an expensive plan solely for streaming. |
| You qualify through The Exchange | Apply for the annual Disney+ Premium discount | 25% off the annual price | Eligibility is limited, and current subscribers may not qualify. |
| You want Hulu too | Compare the Disney+ and Hulu bundle | Starting at $12.99 per month; limited promotions may be lower | Check ads, tier, renewal price, and included services. |
| You already use a Disney Visa | Earn rewards on qualifying direct purchases | Variable rewards offset after spending | Rewards do not make the subscription automatically free. |
| You only want Disney+ | Compare standalone plans and introductory pricing | $11.99 with ads or $18.99 without ads at the listed prices | Promotions renew unless canceled. |
Billing checklist before you activate a deal
- Confirm the country and eligibility. The options above are based on U.S. offers. Military eligibility, Verizon plan eligibility, and promotional eligibility are separate tests.
- Identify the billing company. Check whether your current subscription is billed by Disney, Verizon, Apple, Google, Amazon, or another partner.
- Read the renewal terms. Write down the introductory period, regular renewal price, subscription tier, and any promotional end date.
- Activate through the official provider flow. For Verizon, begin in My Verizon. For a Disney promotion or military offer, use Disney’s current official redemption process.
- Check for duplicate subscriptions. Wait for the new benefit or discounted subscription to activate, then verify that the old subscription is canceled or no longer billing.
- Set a reminder. Disney says subscribers can cancel at any time, with cancellation generally taking effect at the end of the current subscription term. Cancel through the company that bills you, not necessarily through the Disney app.
- Review the next statement. Confirm that the promised price appears and that no old Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+ charge continues.
Pricing and eligibility in this guide refer to U.S. Disney, Verizon, and Disney Visa information available during 2025. Promotions can change without notice; the official checkout page, account screen, and current eligibility terms control.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Disney+ have a free trial in the U.S. in 2025?
No. Disney’s U.S. Help Center says Disney+ currently does not offer a standard free trial. The available introductory offers are discounted paid subscriptions that renew after the promotional period.
Can I get Disney+ free through Verizon?
Possibly, but mainly if you already have a grandfathered Verizon 5G Play More or 5G Get More plan with the Disney Bundle benefit. Verizon’s current offer for eligible plans is generally a $10-per-month ad-supported Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ perk, not free access.
Is there a Disney+ military or veterans discount?
Disney describes a 25% discount on an annual Disney+ Premium subscription for eligible Exchange members, including qualifying service members, veterans, and families. Eligibility and redemption restrictions apply, and the offer is not free.
Can students get Disney+ at a discount?
No current official U.S. Disney+ student-discount page was identified in the research. Do not rely on a third-party claim unless Disney provides a live, current redemption flow.
How do I avoid being charged after a Disney+ promotion?
Record the promotion end date, identify who bills you, and cancel or change the subscription through that billing company before renewal. Disney says cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current subscription term.
The Bottom Line
For most U.S. readers, there is no universal way to get Disney+ free in 2025. Check first for a grandfathered Verizon benefit, then consider the Exchange annual discount, a current bundle promotion, or a bundle that replaces services you already pay for. Treat every “free trial,” old carrier deal, student offer, VPN workaround, and free-account generator with skepticism—and always verify the renewal price and billing source.
