Crunchyroll does not currently advertise a dependable Guest Pass program. For most eligible new users, its clearly documented option is a seven-day Premium free trial. You may also find a live partner promotion, try a genuine unused legacy Guest Pass code, or redeem a membership gift card you already have. Those alternatives have limits, and the trial requires a payment method and renews automatically unless canceled.
Does Crunchyroll still offer Guest Passes?
A Guest Pass was a temporary access code intended to let someone try Premium features. It was associated with older Crunchyroll membership and community-sharing practices, but that is historical context—not a current offer you can count on.

Crunchyroll’s current Help Center and Premium page document free trials, subscriptions and other support topics, but do not show a regular Guest Pass distribution or a way for members to generate new passes. Crunchyroll has not publicly confirmed in these pages that Guest Passes were formally discontinued, so the accurate answer is that the program is not currently documented as a dependable option. A valid old code might still work, but availability and redemption are uncertain.
Do not confuse a Guest Pass with a new-account free trial, a prepaid membership gift card, a partner promotion, a shared login, or a guest account in a Crunchyroll game. Older online instructions to find a Guest Pass tab or receive passes regularly are not established as current guidance.

Four legitimate ways to get temporary or prepaid access
1. Use Crunchyroll’s seven-day Premium trial
This is the clearest current route for eligible new subscribers. Crunchyroll’s standard trial is seven days, although a special promotion can have different terms. You need a valid payment method, and the membership automatically renews as a paid subscription unless you cancel before the displayed trial end date. Crunchyroll says canceling during the trial ends Premium access immediately rather than letting you use the rest of the trial period. Check the offer shown during signup, since eligibility and terms can vary.
- Open the official Crunchyroll Premium page in a browser and choose an eligible plan.
- Select Start 7-Day Free Trial if that offer appears, then sign in or create an account.
- Add an accepted payment method and review the trial length, renewal price, and terms before confirming. Choosing Skip free trial starts paid billing immediately.
- Check the end date in Membership Info or the confirmation email. If you do not want a paid subscription, turn off renewal before that date and save the cancellation confirmation.
The standard trial is limited to new and eligible subscribers; someone who has used a trial before may not qualify and could be charged immediately when subscribing. A temporary authorization may appear while Crunchyroll verifies a payment method. At the time reflected on Crunchyroll’s U.S. Premium page in the supplied pricing information, displayed monthly prices were Fan $9.99, Mega Fan $13.99 and Ultimate Fan $17.99, before applicable taxes. 2. Check for a current partner promotion
Crunchyroll may offer trials or discounts through a retailer, device maker, mobile provider or membership service. Check Crunchyroll’s official promotions information and the services you already belong to; use the partner’s own app, website, email or membership portal to confirm that an offer is live and that you qualify.
- Open the promotion from the partner’s official account or portal and read its country, account-history and expiration restrictions.
- Follow its redemption link or enter its code only on the stated official redemption route.
- Review whether payment details are required and whether access renews as a paid subscription.
- If you do not want to continue, cancel before the promotion ends and retain the confirmation.
A documented U.S. Walmart+ promotion is an expired example, not a current deal: its terms ended the offer period in February 2026. Do not rely on old coupon pages or treat that promotion as available. Its official details are at Crunchyroll’s promotion help page and promotion terms. 3. Try a genuine unused legacy Guest Pass code
If you already have a code—or a friend voluntarily offers one—you can try it, but do not assume it is valid or that new codes are being issued. Historical community discussions show that passes were once shared, while later posts report missing or unreliable access. Those user reports explain why old advice persists; they do not establish a current Crunchyroll policy. Examples include older community sharing and later availability reports.
- Ask the sender whether the code is unused and where it came from.
- Use only a valid redemption destination on an official Crunchyroll domain; do not follow a suspicious shortened or unrelated link.
- Never provide a password, payment login or account recovery code to receive or activate a pass.
- If it fails, stop. It may be expired, already redeemed, region-restricted, mistyped or unsupported by the current system.
Crunchyroll does not currently document a normal member-facing process for generating Guest Passes. If a pass control happens to appear in an account, follow the instructions shown there; otherwise, Crunchyroll Support can clarify an account or promotion question but is not documented as guaranteeing a pass.

4. Redeem an existing membership gift card—or use Roku if that suits you
These are alternatives to a Guest Pass, not free passes. Crunchyroll says new Store Gift Cards are no longer available for purchase, but previously purchased membership gift cards can still be redeemed. Redeem an existing card in a browser at Crunchyroll’s redemption page; mobile apps do not support redemption. The card is region-restricted to the country where it was purchased, and a membership billed through a third party may need to be canceled and allowed to expire before the card can be applied. In the United States, Crunchyroll is also available through The Roku Channel with a separate Fan membership. That subscription is for viewing through The Roku Channel; it does not provide access through the regular Crunchyroll website or app and cannot be linked to an existing Crunchyroll account. What to do if the free-trial offer is missing
The trial may not appear because the account is ineligible, has used a previous trial, the selected plan or billing channel does not include an offer, or the promotion is unavailable in the reader’s region. A current promotion may also have different terms.
- Check the offer on the official Premium page in a browser.
- Read the displayed eligibility language, trial duration and renewal price before subscribing.
- Do not create duplicate accounts to get around eligibility limits.
- If you believe your account has been classified incorrectly, contact Crunchyroll Support.
Why Guest Pass codes fail—and what to avoid
- Already used or expired: A code shared publicly may have been claimed already, or its offer period may have ended.
- Region mismatch: Some codes and promotions are limited by country.
- Old or unsupported system: A legacy code may no longer have a working redemption route.
- Wrong code type: A prepaid card, partner promotion and Guest Pass are not interchangeable.
- Fake activation offer: Treat a “Guest Pass generator” that asks for unrelated surveys, software downloads, payment details or account credentials as unsafe. Do not install an activation tool or enter Crunchyroll credentials on a non-Crunchyroll domain.
Using a friend’s Premium login is not a suitable substitute for a pass when the friend lives elsewhere. Crunchyroll’s Terms of Service limit access to the primary account holder’s immediate household—people at the same physical residential address—and prohibit sharing credentials with people outside that household.
