If Streamlabs Recent Events or Mini Feed has stopped showing new tips, follows, subscriptions, or other events, start by reconnecting Streamlabs to Twitch: log out of Streamlabs, disconnect its Twitch connection, clear your browser cookies and cache, then sign back in with Twitch. This is Streamlabs’ dedicated fix for missing feed updates. It is intended to help with new events; it will not restore events that are already missing, and you may need to update widget or alert URLs afterward. Streamlabs’ instructions describe the sequence in detail.
Reconnect Streamlabs to Twitch
Use this sequence for events missing from the Recent Events or Mini Feed in Streamlabs. Streamlabs’ support article, published October 30, 2025, says the reconnect is intended to help going forward—not recover older missing entries.
- Log out of Streamlabs. Sign out of Streamlabs.com and every Streamlabs app you are using, such as Streamlabs Desktop or Stream Labels.
- Disconnect Streamlabs from Twitch. While logged out of Streamlabs, open Twitch’s connected-app settings and remove the Streamlabs connection used for alerts or the Streamlabs dashboard.
- Clear browser cookies and cache. Clear them in the browser you use for Streamlabs. This can sign you out of other websites.
- Sign back in with Twitch. Log into Streamlabs.com and the affected Streamlabs software using the Twitch account you want to connect, and authorize the connection if prompted.
- Check your widgets and alerts. If a stream overlay stops working after reconnecting, check its browser-source URL and update it if needed.
Streamlabs states: “This will not bring back any missing events into your feeds. It will only help moving forward.”
First identify where the event is missing
Recent Events or Mini Feed is an in-product feed. An Event List is a visual widget shown in your stream, while an Alert Box displays alerts to viewers. A feed can update correctly while a browser-source widget fails to render, or the widget can display while the in-product feed has a connection problem.

If the Event List or Alert Box is not showing on stream
These checks are for a stream-facing widget or alert that does not display or behave as expected. They are separate from the account-reconnection fix for the Recent Events feed. Streamlabs documents alerts for Streamlabs Desktop, its OBS plugin, and compatible broadcasting software; in other software, the widget is generally added as a browser source.
- Confirm alerts are not paused. Check the alert controls in Streamlabs and resume alerts if they are paused.
- Refresh the browser source. Refresh it in your broadcasting software; if needed, remove and re-add the source.
- Verify the widget URL. For a browser source in other broadcasting software, retrieve the current URL from the Streamlabs dashboard’s widget settings and paste it into the source settings. Follow Streamlabs’ widget URL instructions.
- Relink the account. If the alert connection itself appears broken, reconnect the relevant platform account in Streamlabs.
- Clear the streaming software’s browser cache. The browser embedded in broadcasting software has its own cache, separate from the regular browser you use for Streamlabs.com.
- Send a test alert. Use a test to check whether the source can render an alert without waiting for a real viewer event.
If the source is present but its behavior or appearance is wrong, check whether it is covered by another source, whether browser hardware acceleration is affecting it, and whether moderation delay, alert variations, a selected theme, or custom HTML/CSS changes what appears. When only certain platform events are absent
Some event behavior depends on the platform, so an absent event type does not necessarily mean the whole feed is disconnected. Streamlabs says a Twitch resubscription may not appear unless the subscriber shares it in chat. Its troubleshooting article, last updated April 25, 2025, also says YouTube subscriber alerts can take up to four hours to arrive. Streamlabs attributes these cases to platform or API limitations; they are specific exceptions, not a general explanation for an empty feed.
Troubleshooting by symptom
- Nothing new appears in the in-product feed: complete the logout, Twitch disconnect, cache-and-cookie clear, and Twitch sign-in sequence. Check new events after reconnecting; older missing entries will not be restored by this procedure.
- The feed updates, but the overlay does not: troubleshoot the Alert Box or Event List in the broadcasting software. Refresh or re-add the browser source, confirm its URL, and send a test alert.
- The widget URL no longer works after reconnecting: retrieve the current URL from the Streamlabs widget settings and replace the URL in the browser source.
- Only YouTube subscriber alerts are delayed: allow for the delay Streamlabs documents, which can be up to four hours, rather than treating it as proof that every event connection is broken.
- A Twitch resubscription is missing: check whether the subscriber shared it in chat; Streamlabs notes that this can affect whether the resubscription appears.
