To find which of your 24/7 YouTube streams earned the most from ads, compare their estimated ad revenue for the same date range in YouTube Studio Analytics. Start with the Revenue report, use the Live ad-revenue breakdown where available, and compare individual streams in Advanced Mode. A ranking based on estimates can change as YouTube adjusts reported income.
Find live-stream ad revenue in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and select Analytics. Revenue reporting is available at channel and video level for creators in the YouTube Partner Program. Use the channel-level view to locate leading content, or open a stream’s video-level analytics to inspect it individually. YouTube Help: Check your YouTube revenue.
- Open the ad revenue breakdown and select Live. YouTube’s live monetization guidance says Analytics can show a breakdown of ad revenue from live streams and live replays. This is the relevant view for comparing ads on a stream and its replay. YouTube Help: Monetize your live stream.
- Set the period you want to evaluate. Choose the same start and end dates for every stream in the comparison. A stream that has been running longer may naturally have a larger total; selecting a consistent window answers which earned more during that period, rather than which has earned more over its lifetime.
- Use estimated ad revenue as the metric. YouTube defines estimated ad revenue as revenue from ads on videos. Do not substitute estimated revenue if you want an ad-only comparison: that broader metric can include memberships, YouTube Premium, and Super Chat. YouTube Help: Understand ad revenue analytics.
Compare your 24/7 streams fairly
When the channel report does not make the answer obvious, use Advanced Mode to compare the candidate stream videos. Add or select the streams, choose the same date range, and display the estimated ad revenue metric. Compare the reported values—not views, watch time, or total estimated revenue—to identify the highest earner from ads.
Advanced Mode supports selecting content, comparing videos or groups, choosing dates and metrics, and exporting the current report. Exporting can help when you want to keep a record of the selected period and values. YouTube Help: Use Advanced Mode analytics.
If the Live filter does not show revenue
A Live-only filter does not work for revenue and interaction reports in every report context. If YouTube says data is unavailable, that message is not proof that the stream earned no ad revenue. Try Live & on demand, or switch to another report that supports revenue for the content you are reviewing. YouTube Help: Understand live stream metrics.

Report availability and layout can vary by account and view. YouTube’s guidance describes the reporting tools, but it does not establish that every account has one dedicated report ranking every continuous stream for any custom period. If no single ranking is shown, compare the relevant stream videos in Advanced Mode using a shared time window and metric.
When to trust the ranking
Record the selected period and the date you checked the figures. Revenue in Analytics is estimated and can be adjusted after one week and again in the middle of the following month. Finalized earnings generally appear in YouTube Analytics after payment is added to AdSense for YouTube, typically between the 7th and 12th day of the following month. For an early comparison, treat close rankings as provisional. YouTube Help: Check your YouTube revenue.
