On Android and iPhone, tap your profile picture, choose Playlists, and then tap Liked videos.
There is one important limitation: YouTube says the Liked videos playlist can display a maximum of 5,000 videos. So you can find all of the likes YouTube currently shows in the playlist, but the normal interface is not guaranteed to provide an unlimited, complete lifetime archive of every video you have ever liked.
Find liked videos on a computer
- Go to YouTube and sign in.
- Open the left-side navigation menu. If the menu is collapsed, click the menu button first.
- Select Liked videos.
On newer desktop layouts, you may also find it by opening the You tab and selecting Liked videos. YouTube’s official playlist help and current navigation labels can vary slightly as YouTube changes its interface.
The playlist contains videos that are currently marked with the Like rating on that YouTube account. Scroll through the list, open a video, or use the playlist controls to play the videos in sequence.

- Open the YouTube app and confirm that you are signed in.
- Tap your profile picture.

If the playlist is not visible, check that you are viewing the correct Google Account or YouTube channel. The app’s placement and wording may differ slightly by version, device, account, or rollout.
Find liked videos on iPhone or iPad
- Open the YouTube app and sign in.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Open Playlists.
- Select Liked videos.
YouTube occasionally changes mobile navigation, so the playlist may appear under the You area in some app versions. Look for the playlist named Liked videos rather than searching YouTube for the word “liked.”
What “all liked videos” really means
Important: YouTube states that a maximum of 5,000 videos can be displayed in the Liked videos playlist. If you have liked more than 5,000 videos over time, the visible playlist should not be treated as a complete, unlimited archive of every historical like.
The playlist is based on your current Like ratings. It is not the same as a permanent record of every video you have ever watched or every video you once liked. A video can disappear from the playlist if you remove the Like, if the video is no longer available, or if you are looking at a different account or channel.

If a liked video is missing
1. Check the active Google Account and YouTube channel
This is the most common explanation when an entire set of likes appears to be missing. YouTube activity is associated with the account that was active when the action occurred. On a shared computer or phone, you may be signed in to a different Google Account than the one you used previously.
- Click or tap your profile picture.
- Review the account name and email address.
- If you use multiple YouTube channels, switch to the channel where you originally liked the video.
- Open Liked videos again.
You can review YouTube’s account and activity guidance in Google Account activity controls.
2. Confirm that the Like was not undone
Clicking or tapping the Like button a second time removes the Like. Because the playlist represents videos currently rated Like, removing that rating also removes the video from Liked videos. You can also remove a video directly from the playlist using its menu controls.
3. Check whether the video is still available
A video may become unavailable because the creator deleted it, changed its privacy setting, or YouTube removed it. In that situation, the entry may not play and may not remain useful as a normal playlist item. The playlist cannot restore a deleted or private video.

4. Consider the 5,000-video display limit
If you have accumulated a very large number of likes, reaching the display limit is more likely than losing all of your activity. YouTube’s normal playlist view does not promise to show more than 5,000 liked videos.
5. Check Google My Activity—but do not treat it as a complete backup
Google My Activity can help investigate account activity. To look there, open your Google Account, go to Data & privacy, select My Activity, and search or filter for YouTube activity.
My Activity may help establish what happened around a particular date, but it is not a guaranteed replacement for the Liked videos playlist or a definitive export of every Like. Activity may be absent when saving was disabled, you were signed out, the wrong account was active, or the relevant data was otherwise not retained or shown. Google explains how My Activity and saved activity work in its account documentation.
Liked videos, Watch History, and Watch Later are different
| Feature | What it records | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Liked videos | Videos currently rated Like by your account | Open the You area or Playlists, then choose Liked videos |
| Watch History | Videos you watched, subject to your history settings | Open your YouTube history or Google activity |
| Watch Later | Videos you deliberately saved to watch later | Open You or your playlists and select Watch later |
A video can be in Watch History without being liked, or in Watch Later without being liked. Searching YouTube for “liked” does not reveal your private Like history.

Can other people see your liked videos?
No. YouTube’s current help documentation identifies the Liked videos playlist as private. Other viewers normally cannot browse your personal list of liked videos. This is different from an ordinary public playlist that you create and share.
Older online articles may describe a public Liked videos playlist. That information is outdated: YouTube made this playlist private after December 5, 2019. Your likes may still affect recommendations and other YouTube features, but the playlist itself is not normally publicly browsable.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Advanced option: retrieve likes with the YouTube Data API
If you need a programmatic list rather than the ordinary YouTube interface, the official YouTube Data API playlistItems.list method can read items from an authenticated user’s likes playlist. Google’s API documentation also describes retrieving videos liked by the authorized user through videos.list with myRating=like.
This is intended for developers and technically advanced users. It requires:

- a Google Cloud project and YouTube Data API access;
- an application with OAuth authorization;
- the user’s consent to access the relevant YouTube account data;
- code to handle pagination, unavailable videos, rate limits, and API terms.
A typical API workflow is:
- Authorize the user with OAuth.
- Request the user’s liked videos using the supported likes-playlist or
myRating=likemethod. - Follow the API’s
nextPageTokenvalues to retrieve additional pages. - Store the returned video IDs and metadata in your own system if your application has a legitimate need to do so.
This route is not a one-click workaround for the 5,000-video display limit, and API results remain subject to YouTube’s current API behavior, authorization scope, unavailable videos, quotas, and terms. Do not give a browser extension or scraping service your Google password. If you use a third-party tool, it should use official OAuth, request only necessary permissions, and have a clear privacy policy.
Quick troubleshooting checklist
- Are you signed in to the Google Account that originally liked the videos?
- Are you using the correct YouTube channel under that account?
- Did you accidentally click Like again and remove the rating?
- Has the creator deleted the video or changed it to private?
- Could the account have reached YouTube’s 5,000-video display limit?
- Was YouTube activity saving disabled or were you signed out when the action occurred?
- Are you checking Liked videos, rather than Watch History or Watch Later?
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I see Liked videos on YouTube?
Open your profile menu and verify the active Google Account and YouTube channel. Then look under the You tab or Playlists. If the playlist is still missing videos, check whether the likes were undone, the videos became unavailable, or the account has reached YouTube’s 5,000-video display limit.
Can I see every video I have ever liked on YouTube?
Not necessarily. YouTube’s normal Liked videos playlist can display a maximum of 5,000 videos. Google My Activity may help investigate older account activity, and the official YouTube Data API offers an authenticated technical option, but neither should be described as a guaranteed unlimited archive of every historical Like.
Are YouTube liked videos private?
Yes. The Liked videos playlist is private, so other people normally cannot browse your personal list of liked videos.

What is the difference between Liked videos and Watch Later?
Liked videos contains videos you currently rated Like. Watch Later contains videos you deliberately saved for later. They are separate YouTube playlists, and a video can be in one without being in the other.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Sign in to the right YouTube account, open You or Playlists, and select Liked videos. If older likes are missing, check the account, channel, Like status, video availability, activity settings, and the 5,000-video display limit before assuming YouTube lost them.
