Netflix lets you remove individual titles directly from the Continue Watching row. To remove a whole series or many entries, use the selected profile’s Viewing activity in a web browser. Netflix’s Hide all command clears that profile’s entire viewing history—not just the visible row—and can change recommendations.
Menu wording can vary by country, device manufacturer, app version and profile type. The instructions below reflect Netflix’s Help Center information verified August 18, 2026.

Remove one title from Continue Watching
Use the direct row control first; it is the least disruptive option because it targets the entry you no longer want displayed.
Computer
- Open Netflix and select the profile whose row you want to change.
- Find the Continue Watching row.
- Hover over the unwanted title.
- Select Remove From Row.
- Confirm if Netflix displays a prompt.

Smart TV or streaming device
- Open Netflix and choose the relevant profile.
- Select the title in Continue Watching.
- Open the title’s details page and its available action menu.
- Choose Remove from Continue Watching.
Televisions and streaming boxes can place the menu differently or use localized wording. Look for the removal command on the title-details screen rather than assuming every remote has the same layout.
Android phone or tablet
- Update to the latest Netflix app.
- Open Continue Watching and locate the title.
- Tap the title’s menu icon.
- Select Remove From Row.
Netflix says direct mobile removal requires the latest app. If the command is missing after updating, use the browser-based Viewing activity method below.
iPhone or iPad
- Open the current Netflix app and the correct profile.
- Find the title in Continue Watching.
- Tap its menu.
- Select Remove From Row.

Remove an entire series
Netflix provides the series-level option through Viewing activity, which you open in a browser. Hiding an episode can reveal an option to hide the entire series.

- Open the Account page.
- Select Profiles, then choose the profile to clean.
- Open Viewing activity.
- Find an episode from the series and select the hide icon beside it.
- Choose the option to hide the entire series, if Netflix offers it.
Netflix says a hidden series is removed from Continue Watching and is not used for recommendations unless you watch it again. This process changes the profile’s viewing-history record, unlike a simple row cleanup. See Netflix’s viewing-history instructions.
Want to remove everything from one profile?
There is not a universal direct Clear all Continue Watching control documented for every device. The broadest Netflix option is Hide all at the bottom of the profile’s Viewing activity page.

- Go to Account → Profiles and select the target profile.
- Open Viewing activity.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Hide all.
- Confirm the action.
Choose the method that matches your goal

If a title is still showing
The mobile app is outdated
Install the latest Netflix app, restart it and try the direct removal command again. Netflix specifically requires the latest app for direct removal on mobile devices. If it remains unavailable, use Viewing activity in a browser.
The history change has not synchronized
After hiding titles through Viewing activity, allow up to 24 hours for the change to appear across devices. Closing and reopening Netflix, switching profiles and switching back, or signing out and in can refresh a stale display.
The wrong profile is active
Check the profile name or avatar before changing anything. Netflix keeps viewing activity, recommendations and personalized experiences separate by profile, so removing a title from one profile does not remove it from another. You are looking at My List
Continue Watching and My List are different features. Removing a title from My List does not necessarily remove its Continue Watching status, and removing it from Continue Watching does not necessarily remove it from My List.
You watched the title again
Netflix says a title hidden from viewing history can be used for recommendations again if you watch it again. Hide it once more if you do not want it associated with the profile.
You are using a Kids profile
Netflix does not allow titles to be hidden from Viewing activity when that page is accessed through a Netflix Kids profile. Switch to an adult profile with the appropriate account permissions, or use the direct device removal control if that profile and device provide it.

What removal does—and does not—do
- It does not cancel your Netflix subscription.
- It does not delete the show or film from Netflix’s catalog.
- It does not delete your Netflix account.
- It does not delete the profile.
- It does not automatically change another profile’s Continue Watching row.
Hiding titles in Viewing activity is different: it changes what Netflix records as watched and whether those titles influence recommendations. Direct row removal should not be treated as proof that the viewing-history entry was deleted.
Should you delete the profile?
Only use profile deletion when you genuinely want to discard the profile itself. Netflix says deleting a profile deletes its viewing history and game saves, while the main profile cannot be deleted. That is excessive for ordinary Continue Watching housekeeping. Details are in Netflix’s profile-management guidance.
