Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is no longer preparing for another fight. He retired from MMA on May 5, 2023, after becoming a champion in both the UFC and ONE Championship, and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s Modern Wing on July 9, 2026. His second act includes gaming, livestreaming, creator-focused advice, selective startup investment and personal use of performance technology.
The fighter behind the technology story
Johnson’s technology profile matters because of what he accomplished before it. The UFC credits him with 11 consecutive flyweight title defenses, a 2,142-day UFC flyweight title reign and 12 UFC flyweight title-fight victories. Its 2026 Hall of Fame biography lists his professional record as 25-4-1.
He moved from the UFC to ONE Championship in 2018, won the ONE Flyweight World Championship and recaptured it from Adriano Moraes on August 26, 2022. After one successful defense, he retired and vacated the title on May 5, 2023.

ONE Championship made Johnson its first Hall of Fame inductee in 2024. The UFC announced him for its 2026 Hall of Fame class on March 29, 2026, and published his induction speech after the July 9 ceremony. The UFC has called him the greatest flyweight of all time; broader claims that he is the greatest MMA fighter ever remain a matter of opinion rather than an uncontested record.

Gaming was part of Johnson’s identity before it became content
Johnson has described playing games since childhood, including classic Nintendo titles. His interests have moved across fighting games, shooters, role-playing and strategy games, as well as PUBG and Fortnite.
Twitch gave him a way to talk with fans without the adversarial format of fight promotion. A gaming session could be a conversation rather than a weigh-in, press conference or contest. Interviews with PC Gamer, Dot Esports and Innovation & Tech Today document that longstanding interest.

In a 2022 interview, Johnson said he enjoyed Twitch but did not expect it to become a full-time career. He described the workload and income as uncertain. Older reports gave different follower counts at different moments; those figures should not be treated as his current audience, and the evidence here does not establish a current streaming schedule.
What “getting in the ring with tech” actually means
The phrase describes several limited, identifiable relationships—not a claim that Johnson founded or runs a technology company.
Zeacon: creator-platform adviser
In reporting published September 3, 2022, Johnson was identified as an advisory-board member of Zeacon, a Bellevue startup developing interactive-video tools for creators and brands. Zeacon’s chief executive said Johnson supplied feedback based on his experience livestreaming and communicating with audiences.

That is an advisory role: user perspective, audience insight and credibility. It is not evidence that Johnson designed Zeacon’s software, founded the company or controlled its operations. The same GeekWire report identified Johnson as an investor in Portable Consultants, a Redmond company providing enterprise data and voice services. The founder said Johnson’s character and public image helped attract the relationship.
The amount invested, his current ownership, and any continuing role are not publicly established in the material available for this profile. “Investor” should therefore not be expanded into founder, executive or controlling owner. Portable Consultants’ official site is portableconsultants.com.

Oura: a personal recovery tool
Johnson said he used an Oura Ring to monitor sleep, calories and workouts, including helping him recognize when it was time to go to bed. That supports a straightforward claim: he used wearable data to make recovery and training decisions.
It does not show that Oura caused his championship success, medically diagnosed a condition or supplied validated proof of improved fight performance. The product site is ouraring.com.
Why a champion can be useful to a technology company
- Audience knowledge: A livestreamer understands how viewers respond, participate and return.
- Creator feedback: An adviser who has actually broadcast can identify friction that a product team may miss.
- Credibility and reach: A respected athlete can introduce a product to sports, gaming and creator communities.
- High-performance perspective: Training and recovery experience can inform conversations about wearables and data, without proving a product’s efficacy.
- Cross-community access: Johnson connects combat-sports fans with gaming audiences in a way a conventional brand spokesperson may not.
Those benefits explain why a startup might seek his advice or investment. They do not imply operational control or that every technology association is a formal business venture.

How retirement changed the technology angle
In 2022, gaming and startup work were often presented as preparation for life after fighting. Retirement made the question concrete. Johnson’s post-MMA identity now includes media appearances, gaming, livestreaming ambitions and selective business relationships alongside his continuing role as a combat-sports public figure.

What the evidence does—and does not—establish
- Johnson’s Zeacon advisory role is supported by 2022 reporting; his current status is not confirmed here.
- His Portable Consultants investment was reported by the company’s founder; the amount and present ownership are unknown.
- His Oura use is a personal account of tracking sleep and workouts, not a performance study.
- He is historically a gamer and streamer, but current Twitch activity and follower numbers require a live profile check.
- There is no support for calling him a technology founder or claiming that technology is his sole or primary occupation.
The larger significance of Johnson’s second act
Johnson’s technology involvement is more interesting as diversification than as celebrity endorsement. He built credibility in gaming before retirement, learned how to communicate directly with an online audience and then applied that experience to advisory work, investment and creator-focused media.
The connection is credible because it rests on two genuine identities: elite combat athlete and lifelong gamer. His technology relationships extend that overlap; they do not replace the fighting career that made the relationships valuable.
