The HONOR 500 Pro MOLLY 20th Anniversary Limited Edition launched in mainland China on January 19, 2026, as a collaboration between HONOR and Pop Mart. It costs ¥4,499 in a reported 16GB RAM/512GB storage configuration and is primarily a collector-focused customization of the HONOR 500 Pro—not a major hardware upgrade.
That distinction matters. The phone combines MOLLY-themed hardware, software, packaging, and accessories with the standard Pro model’s reported Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, 8,000mAh battery, 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and multi-camera system. International availability has not been officially confirmed.
What is the HONOR 500 Pro MOLLY Edition?
The phone celebrates the 20th anniversary of Pop Mart’s MOLLY character. HONOR and Pop Mart presented it as HONOR’s first fully customized designer-toy smartphone, according to launch coverage from YugaTech.
It is based on the HONOR 500 Pro introduced in China in November 2025. The edition’s main changes are its themed design, system styling, presentation box, and bundled collectibles. Available reporting does not indicate a different processor, camera platform, battery, or performance tier.

The collaboration was announced on January 19, 2026. Pre-orders were reported around the announcement, with regular sales scheduled for January 25 at 10:08 a.m. China time.
Design and MOLLY customization
The handset uses an Obsidian Black finish with Molly Little Painter artwork on the rear. This is more than a standard black phone sold with a character-branded case: launch reports describe coordinated customization across the handset, interface, charging experience, photography, and accessories.
Reported software elements include:
- MOLLY-themed wallpapers
- Customized charging animations or charging effects
- MOLLY-themed camera watermarks
- A dedicated interface skin or system theme
The available evidence supports cosmetic and presentation changes within a MagicOS-based experience. It does not establish exclusive AI features, a different operating-system version, or special performance functions.

The regular HONOR 500 Pro’s core platform and key hardware are documented in HONOR’s 500 series announcement. Some secondary listings describe the 12MP camera as an ultra-wide macro camera; using HONOR’s broader “12MP ultra-wide” wording avoids adding details that are not consistently confirmed.
Price and the premium over the standard model
The reported launch price was ¥4,499, approximately $646 using the exchange rate cited in launch coverage at the time. That price was attached to the reported 16GB/512GB configuration.

The apparent difference is ¥900, but it is not automatically a like-for-like collector premium: the standard model’s starting price may represent a lower memory or storage tier. A fair comparison requires the price of a regular HONOR 500 Pro with the same 16GB/512GB specification.

For an overseas buyer, the final cost can also include shipping, import duties, taxes, marketplace fees, reseller markup, and the risk of limited warranty support. A direct currency conversion therefore does not represent the true landed price.
Where was it sold?
The edition launched as a mainland-China product. Reports also described MOLLY-themed pop-up stores and promotional events in more than 100 Chinese cities, but that does not mean every location carried the phone or that those events represented an international retail rollout.
As of the information available for this article, there is no reliable official announcement confirming U.S., European, or broader international sales of the MOLLY edition. The standard HONOR 500 series announcement specifically identified mainland China for its launch. Current stock in August 2026 should therefore be treated as seller-dependent unless confirmed through a live official listing.
What overseas buyers should check before importing
A China-market HONOR phone may not behave exactly like a model sold in another region. Before ordering, verify all of the following with the seller and, where possible, with your carrier:

An individual user report cannot establish universal Google, payment, notification, or carrier compatibility. Treat claims about those functions as device- and region-dependent until documented for the exact model and firmware.
The reported China model number is MEP-AN00, but buyers should confirm the model shown on the box and device rather than assume that a marketplace listing uses an internationally certified variant.
How to verify a marketplace listing
- Confirm the exact model and configuration. Make sure the listing identifies the MOLLY edition and 16GB/512GB version rather than using generic HONOR 500 Pro images.
- Ask for real photographs. Request images of the sealed box, suitcase presentation case, phone, case, lanyard, cards, and other advertised gifts.
- Check the seller. Verify whether the listing is from an official HONOR channel, an authorized retailer, or an independent importer.
- Read the firmware description. Confirm the region, languages, Google-service status, update policy, and whether the phone has been modified.
- Get warranty terms in writing. A China warranty may not be honored by a service center in the buyer’s country.
- Calculate the delivered cost. Include taxes, customs, shipping, payment fees, and reseller charges.
- Check returns before purchase. Collectible packaging and opened phones can have stricter return conditions.
Catalog images alone are not proof that the complete original bundle is included. A lower price can reflect a phone-only listing, missing gifts, opened packaging, or weaker after-sales protection.
Is it worth buying?
For MOLLY and Pop Mart collectors
This is the edition’s strongest appeal. It offers an integrated collectible experience: themed hardware, interface elements, presentation packaging, and accessories rather than only a downloadable wallpaper or a separate case. Buyers should still value it as a collectible purchase, not assume that “limited edition” guarantees a future resale premium. No exact production quantity has been established.

For HONOR hardware buyers
The underlying hardware is the same reason to consider the regular HONOR 500 Pro. The MOLLY version does not appear to add a faster chipset, larger battery, or upgraded camera system. If the goal is performance and value, the ordinary Pro is likely the more rational comparison—particularly when the standard model can be found with a lower price or stronger local support.
For international importers
The purchase makes sense only if the buyer accepts the China-market risks and confirms compatibility in advance. The collector design cannot compensate for missing carrier bands, unsupported payment features, difficult warranty service, or an incomplete accessory bundle.
For resale-minded buyers
Resale value is uncertain. Scarcity may increase interest, but demand, condition, packaging completeness, firmware region, and the size of the collector market all matter. Do not buy it as an investment based solely on the “limited edition” label.

The HONOR 500 Pro MOLLY 20th Anniversary Edition is best understood as a premium Pop Mart collaboration built on high-end HONOR 500 Pro hardware. Its ¥4,499 launch price buys the character-themed exterior, software treatment, presentation box, and collector accessories—not a meaningful performance upgrade.
It is a compelling option for a MOLLY fan who already wants the HONOR 500 Pro and can source a complete, authentic China-market bundle. For everyone else—especially buyers who need guaranteed international warranty coverage, carrier compatibility, Google services, or straightforward resale—the regular HONOR 500 Pro or a locally sold Android phone is the safer choice.
