A new clip from Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires shows Johnny Depp at his Hollywood recording studio in 2018, working at the piano on “This Is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr.” Tommy Henriksen narrates the scene and joins Depp as they work on the song.
What the ‘Unleashed Spirits’ clip shows
In the scene, Depp is at the piano late at night and talks about writing “This Is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr.” The clip then follows him and Henriksen working on the song into the early morning, with Henriksen describing Depp’s creative process, according to ComingSoon’s October 5, 2026 report.
The report attributes this line to Depp: “It’s about if the inspiration hits, if the words pop into your head, how much time do you have before they fall out?” It also says he carries a notebook to catch ideas. The quotation is reported speech, rather than a transcript published with the clip.
What the documentary is about
Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires is a documentary about the band. Its official trailer page identifies the core lineup as Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, and credits Daniel E. Catullo III as director.
