FuboTV does not currently offer a true pause or suspension feature. If you want to stop future charges, cancel the subscription before its next payment date. You can usually keep watching a paid subscription through the end of the current billing period, then reactivate later if you return.
The correct cancellation route depends on who bills you: Fubo directly or Roku.
First, check who bills your Fubo subscription
Sign in at fubo.tv/account. Look for your subscription details and next payment date. Fubo says the next payment can also be found under Billing → Billing Summary → Next Payment.
- If the account shows ordinary Fubo billing information and a next billing date, you can generally cancel through Fubo.
- If it identifies the plan as a Roku Subscription, Roku controls the billing and cancellation must be completed through Roku.
The device you use to watch Fubo does not determine the cancellation path. A smart TV or Roku device can display Fubo even when Fubo itself processes the payment.

How to cancel Fubo billed directly by Fubo
- Go to Fubo.tv and sign in.
- Select a profile if Fubo prompts you to do so.
- Open the Settings icon.
- Select My Account.
- Open Subscription.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Cancel.
- If Fubo shows a discount or retention offer, select CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION to continue canceling. Select REDEEM OFFER only if you want to keep the subscription active.
- Complete the final confirmation, wait for the confirmation page, and select OK.
Reopen the subscription or account-information page and confirm that the account shows a scheduled expiration date or cancellation status. Reaching a discount-offer screen is not the same as completing cancellation.
Fubo’s official cancellation instructions were updated on January 28, 2026, but labels can change. If the options differ, follow the current wording shown in your account and verify the resulting status.
How to cancel Fubo through Roku
Cancel online
- Sign in to Roku’s subscription-management page using the Roku account that pays for Fubo. Fubo links to this destination from its official cancellation instructions.
- Find the Fubo subscription.
- Select Unsubscribe.
- Select Yes, Unsubscribe to confirm.
Roku should then show a RENEW option until the current service period expires. That indicates the subscription is set not to renew, rather than ending immediately.

Cancel on a Roku device
- Press Home on the Roku remote.
- Highlight the Fubo channel or The Roku Channel, as applicable.
- Press the Star button.
- Select Manage subscription.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- Review the displayed expiration information.
- Select Cancel subscription again, then select Done.
Roku-billed subscription details are managed by Roku. Fubo says it does not have access to Roku billing information, so a Roku billing problem should be taken to Roku.
What happens after you cancel?
Paid subscription
Canceling a paid Fubo plan generally schedules it to end rather than cutting off access immediately. If your subscription renews on the 15th and you cancel on the 5th, you can generally continue watching until the 15th. At the end of the current billing period, paid access ends and the subscription should not renew.
Use the account page to confirm the exact expiration date. “Current billing period” matters because Fubo supports monthly, quarterly and annual billing; do not assume every plan ends at the end of a calendar month.

Free trial
Free-trial cancellation works differently. Fubo’s current instructions say that canceling a free trial ends it immediately. You should not assume that you can cancel early and keep watching until the originally advertised trial date. Fubo also says you will not receive another free trial.
After paid access ends
After termination, signing in may display a “Welcome Back” or reactivation page. Logging in alone does not restart the subscription. However, do not select Reactivate Subscription unless you intend to resume paid service.
You may also see limited, ad-supported Fubo Free content after paid access ends. Watching that content does not necessarily mean your paid subscription is still active.

When should you cancel?
Check the next payment date first, then cancel before that date if you want to prevent the next renewal. Waiting until the renewal day creates avoidable risk because processing times, account time zones and billing-provider timing can differ.
Deleting the Fubo app, signing out, removing a device or simply stopping use is not a substitute for confirmed cancellation. Save the confirmation page, expiration date and any confirmation email or billing record.
If a renewal has already processed, cancellation normally prevents the next renewal; it does not automatically reverse the billing period that has already begun. Annual and quarterly plans can have different refund and cancellation conditions. Do not assume unused prepaid time will be prorated or refunded. Fubo’s U.S. terms of service and the applicable billing provider govern those questions.

If you want to spend less instead of leaving
Before canceling the entire service, open the subscription-management area and check whether you can remove optional add-ons or select another available plan. Fubo says add-ons are managed through the subscription area, but plan availability, pricing, sports coverage, taxes and fees can change. Review the resulting channels and next payment amount before confirming a change.
How to restart Fubo later
Reactivate before the current period ends
If the account is scheduled to cancel but is still active:
- Sign in at Fubo.tv.
- Open My Account.
- Select Subscription & Billing.
- Select Reactivate in the cancellation reminder.
Fubo says this reactivation is immediate, keeps the existing billing-cycle date, and preserves add-ons, settings, favorites and Cloud DVR recordings in this situation.
Reactivate after termination
- Visit Fubo.tv and sign in with the previous account email and password.
- Review the plan shown on the Welcome Back page.
- Select Reactivate Subscription.
- Select Change if you want a different available plan.
- Confirm the payment and terms.
After termination, Fubo says the selected-plan amount, plus applicable taxes and fees, is billed immediately. The reactivation date becomes the new billing-cycle date, there is no new free trial, and a previously used plan may no longer be available.

- Sign in and inspect the subscription or account-information page.
- Confirm whether the account is scheduled to cancel or fully canceled.
- Check for another Fubo account using a different email address. Search receipts and payment statements for alternate addresses.
- If Roku billed you, check the subscription status in Roku—not only inside Fubo.
- Save cancellation confirmations, expiration dates and billing records.
- Contact the company that processed the payment: Fubo for direct Fubo billing, or Roku for Roku billing.
Fubo offers a virtual assistant, live chat, support requests and phone support through its support contact page. A refund is not guaranteed; eligibility can depend on the plan, timing, billing channel, jurisdiction and support decision.
