The Genshin Impact Apple Music promotion has ended. It celebrated the August 13, 2025 release of Genshin Impact – The Shimmering Voyage, Vol. 5, rather than the game’s original launch. New Apple Music subscribers were offered up to three free months, while eligible returning subscribers could receive two months. The stated redemption deadline was October 31, 2025.
What the promotion was
This was a limited-time Apple–HoYoverse promotion tied to the release of Genshin Impact – The Shimmering Voyage, Vol. 5. It was not an in-game reward, a new-player bonus, or a celebration of Genshin Impact’s 2020 game release.
The promotion was connected to Apple Music and Apple Music Classical. Alongside access to the soundtrack, Apple highlighted track-by-track commentary involving Genshin Impact voice actors.

The wording mattered: the offer was “up to” three months for new subscribers, not a guarantee that every account would receive the maximum term. Apple Account history, previous trials or subscriptions, region, and the signup route could affect eligibility. Existing or returning users were also not automatically entitled to the two-month offer.
The trial was a temporary subscription promotion, not permanent free access. Anyone who accepted it needed to check the renewal date and cancel before paid renewal if they did not want to continue.
The soundtrack behind the offer
Apple’s U.S. listing identifies The Shimmering Voyage, Vol. 5 as a HOYO-MiX release dated August 13, 2025. The album contains 59 songs across three discs and runs for approximately 1 hour and 49 minutes. Its listing carries the ℗ 2025 miHoYo credit.
This is one volume in Genshin Impact’s wider music catalog, not a complete collection of every piece of music from the game. The ordinary Apple Music album and the additional Classical presentation should also be treated as separate parts of the collaboration.

The promotion also pointed listeners toward Apple Music Classical, where Genshin-related material included track-by-track commentary connected to voice actors. Apple’s pages include an Apple Music Classical playlist featuring Aether’s voice actor and a separate playlist featuring Paimon’s voice actor.

That commentary was an extra listening feature; it does not mean that every track on the 59-song album contains voice-actor commentary.
Can you still redeem the Genshin Apple Music offer?
No. The reported deadline was October 31, 2025. As of September 14, 2026, the documented Genshin-specific promotion is expired, and its historical redemption instructions should not be presented as a working deal.

Apple may display a different free trial during a current signup flow, depending on the account and region. Such an offer would be a separate Apple promotion, not the expired Genshin Impact campaign. Availability and terms can differ outside the United States.
If you claimed the trial: cancellation and downloads
On iPhone, Apple’s documented cancellation path is:
- Open the Music app.
- Tap the My Account button or your profile picture.
- Tap Manage Subscription.
- Follow the cancellation instructions.
Check the renewal date shown for your subscription rather than relying on the original promotion article. Apple Music downloads are subscription-based: after the subscription ends, Apple says you can no longer stream Apple Music songs or play downloaded Apple Music tracks.

Where to listen now
The soundtrack remains listed on Apple Music in the United States. You can open the album page for The Shimmering Voyage, Vol. 5, but full streaming access generally requires an active subscription. The expired promotion does not mean that the album listing itself has disappeared.
Readers who only want to sample a few tracks may prefer official previews or music services they already use. Readers specifically seeking Apple’s Genshin-related Classical presentation and commentary need the Apple Music ecosystem; the expired trial does not make those features permanently free.
