“Forgiven,” episode 14 of FBI Season 8, aired on CBS on March 16, 2026, so it is no longer an upcoming episode. Its premise centers on Maggie Bell’s sister, Erin, who goes missing. The team searches for her, and Maggie learns that a sinister figure from her past kidnapped her. This report draws on the official CBS episode information and TV Insider’s exclusive preview. It covers what those sources confirm, what they leave open, and how to watch.

When the episode aired

CBS lists “Forgiven” as airing on March 16, 2026, in the 9:00–10:00 PM ET/PT window. The “ahead of the new episode” framing used in early preview coverage reflects the pre-broadcast timing. Any reader looking for the episode now should treat it as a completed broadcast.

The premise

According to CBS’s official synopsis, Erin Bell disappears, and her disappearance and kidnapping drive the story. The team launches a search, and Maggie discovers that the person behind the abduction is a sinister figure from her past. The synopsis does not name that person.

The cast details in the preview are consistent with the premise. TV Insider identifies Maggie as played by Missy Peregrym and Erin as played by Adrienne Rose Bengtsson. According to TV Insider, Bengtsson was last seen as Erin in Season 5, so this episode marks her return to the role after a gap of several seasons.

What the sneak peek shows

Zach Grenier returns as Peter Olsen

TV Insider confirms that Zach Grenier returns as Peter Olsen, a retired BAU profiler. The preview recounts that Peter previously praised Maggie’s profiling ability, and that Maggie said she wants to better understand the criminals the team hunts. TV Insider speculates that Peter might help with the Erin case. That speculation is not confirmed in the preview, so his actual role in the episode should be checked against the broadcast itself.

Maggie’s injuries in the preview photos

The preview photos show Maggie with a cut on her head and a bloody hand. TV Insider asks what caused those injuries but does not answer the question. Nothing in the preview establishes how she was hurt, so any explanation circulating online should be treated as speculation.

Who is the kidnapper?

The official synopsis describes the abductor only as “a sinister figure from her past,” and neither the synopsis nor the TV Insider preview names that person. The preview clip does not verify the identity of the villain either. The “returning villain” wording in the headline comes from how the preview has been packaged, not from a confirmed identification in the episode materials. Until the aired episode is checked, no character name should be treated as established.

Where to watch

CBS’s official episode information identifies Paramount+ as a streaming option. Availability timing depends on the subscriber’s plan, and access can vary by region. Check Paramount+ directly for current availability in your country and on your plan before you set up a viewing schedule. Recent episodes on the CBS network are also subject to the network’s own schedule and any regional broadcast arrangements.
