Those dates have now passed: this retrospective separates what was scheduled, what networks held for later, and what TVLine listed as canceled or unresolved at the time. A scheduled date is not proof that a show ultimately premiered that day.
What was on the fall 2025 schedule?
TVLine’s August 6, 2025 calendar counted “120+ fall premiere dates” across September, October and November. That is TVLine’s count of its schedule, not an independently verified total for the entire television industry. The calendar included new and returning series from broadcast networks, streaming services and cable.
Because the schedule crossed platforms, each date below names the network or service. The entries are announced premiere dates; the cited schedules do not establish whether every title ultimately aired on its originally announced date.

What was waiting for midseason or later?
“Held for Midseason” was TVLine’s category at the time it published its schedule. It did not mean that a title had been canceled; it meant the show was not placed among the listed fall premiere dates.

What was missing—and what did that status mean?
TVLine also separated titles it called “Previously Cancelled” from those whose “Fates [were] to Be Determined.” These are the schedule’s labels at publication time, not a complete independent audit of every show’s status. An unresolved fate should not be read as a cancellation.
Previously canceled, according to TVLine
The schedule listed 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Cleaning Lady, The Conners, Doctor Odyssey, FBI: International, Found and Rescue: HI-Surf in its previously canceled category.

Fate undetermined in TVLine’s schedule
TVLine named Accused, Farmer Wants a Wife and The Great North among the titles whose fate was still to be determined, along with assorted CW programs. That category did not declare those programs canceled.

ABC’s August 11, 2025 announcement said its original programming would stream the next day on Hulu and on Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers. ABC also said Dancing with the Stars would simulcast live on Disney+. Those availability notes were specific to ABC’s announcement; they should not be generalized to other networks or services.
