Why there were two Emmy news cycles in 2024
The 2024 nominations can be confusing because the previous Emmy ceremony was held in January 2024. Delays caused by the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes pushed the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony into January. The nominations announced in July were for the 76th Emmy Awards, whose ceremony followed in September 2024.
