Build the list through clear opt-ins, tell subscribers what and how often you will send, and make unsubscribing easy. Treat it as a way to maintain a relationship—not a replacement for streaming or a guarantee of audience reach or revenue.
Choose a newsletter promise you can keep
Start with one clear reason for a viewer to subscribe. It might be a weekly schedule and recap, updates about a game or category you cover, behind-the-scenes notes, community highlights, or occasional announcements. These are possible formats, not proven formulas. Keep the promise narrow enough that you can deliver it consistently.
At signup, explain what subscribers will receive and how often you expect to email. Google recommends clear opt-in, relevant content, accurate sender and subject details, and a reasonable frequency that matches expectations: Google’s bulk email best practices.
Invite viewers without assuming consent
Put a signup form somewhere viewers can choose to use it, such as your website or a channel panel. State the purpose of the list and its expected cadence next to the form. A viewer’s follow, subscription, chat participation, or one-to-one business message is not newsletter consent.

Twitch prohibits spam and unsolicited promotions to Twitch users, harvesting their contact details from Twitch, and collecting personal information without consent. Its Terms of Service specifically prohibit “harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Twitch Services.” Build the list through voluntary signups rather than scraping profiles or copying contact details: Twitch Terms of Service.
Send a useful, recognizable newsletter
Use a sender name subscribers will recognize and a subject line that accurately describes the message. Put the promised value near the top, keep calls to action clear, and avoid sending outside the cadence people were told to expect. Google recommends relevant messages, accurate headers, and a reasonable frequency.

A starter issue could include upcoming stream dates, a short highlight or recap, one community update, and a link to a single destination. This is a practical editorial example, not a performance formula. There is no established universal best frequency or benchmark for subscriber growth, opens, clicks, or revenue in the sources cited here.
Set up sending authentication and easy exits
Authenticate the sending domain
Use a domain you control and follow your email service’s DNS instructions. Google requires senders to Gmail to use SPF or DKIM. For senders sending 5,000 or more messages per day to Gmail accounts, Google’s current guidance lists SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and one-click unsubscribe requirements for marketing and subscribed messages. This threshold and those requirements are Gmail-specific, not a universal legal checklist. Check Google’s sender guidelines for current operational requirements.

Confirm signups and honor unsubscribes
Google’s subscription-message guidance calls for confirming an email address after signup on a website or app (double consent), providing one-click unsubscribe, and processing opt-out requests within 48 hours. Keep marketing messages distinct from transactional mail such as receipts. See Google’s subscription guidelines.

Choose an email service by the job it needs to do
The cited sources do not establish a best email platform for streamers. Compare services against the needs of your workflow and audience rather than choosing on a generic recommendation.
- Consent: Can the signup and confirmation flow support your opt-in practices?
- Unsubscribing: Is there a working unsubscribe process, and can the service honor requests promptly?
- Authentication: Does the service guide you through custom-domain SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup?
- Workflow: Can you embed a signup form on your existing site and connect the list to how you publish?
- Practical fit: Check current pricing for your subscriber count and sending volume, plus data export, reporting, and privacy controls.
Mailchimp is one example of an email marketing service, but the cited information does not establish it as the best choice for streamers. Verify a provider’s current features and prices directly before choosing.
Review responses without treating them as proof of success
Over time, review signups, clicks, replies, unsubscribes, and spam complaints. Use the signals to consider whether your promise and cadence still fit the audience. Do not treat open rates as a reliable measure without accounting for privacy-related measurement limits; the cited sources do not establish benchmark rates or a universal ideal send schedule.
Keep Twitch promotions and legal obligations in view
If you promote a sponsor as branded content on Twitch, use Twitch’s branded-content disclosure tool and confirm the product or service is permitted under its current policy. Twitch says creators and brands remain responsible for understanding and complying with applicable laws and regulations; the disclosure tool does not transfer that responsibility. Review Twitch’s branded-content guidelines before a campaign.
Email rules depend on factors including the sender’s location, subscribers’ locations, and message type. Gmail product rules do not replace the laws that apply to your list. Check the relevant requirements for your audience and business, and seek qualified advice when needed.
Twitch’s Creator Profile is a separate, adjacent tool for brand connections: Twitch says Partner and Affiliate creators automatically have profile access, and eligible creators can use official audience and demographic data. It is not evidence that an email list itself produces sponsorships.

Or let it run in the cloud
Email helps viewers keep up between broadcasts; it does not keep a YouTube channel live. If you also publish uploaded videos as an always-on YouTube stream, StreamNeo is a separate cloud service: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Each slot streams uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start your free day on StreamNeo.
