Dating and the birth of Izzy
Murphy and Australian model and actor Paige Butcher began dating in 2012. A contemporaneous CBS News report published May 4, 2016, also said they had been dating since 2012 and reported the birth of their daughter, Izzy Oona, that month.

Engagement and their son Max
The couple became engaged in 2018. Their son, Max, was born in November of that year, according to Biography.com.
Marriage in 2024
Murphy and Butcher married in July 2024, according to Biography.com’s updated profile. The distinction between the reports matters: on July 2, 2024, ABC’s Good Morning America reported that Murphy called Butcher his wife in a New York Times interview, while noting that ABC had contacted his representative for confirmation. That interview coverage is not itself confirmation of the wedding ceremony.
