In January 2025, Duck Dynasty star Si Robertson was taken to an Arkansas emergency room after falling while getting out of a boat following a hunting trip. The account came from his Duck Call Room co-hosts, as reported at the time by People on January 27, 2025 and USA TODAY on January 28, 2025. They said tests showed bruised, not broken, ribs.
What happened to Uncle Si Robertson?
Justin Martin, a co-host of the Duck Call Room podcast, said Robertson fell as he tried to climb out of the boat. Martin described the bank as steep and said Robertson was hurrying. The reported account said the fall involved Robertson’s oxygen equipment.
The group grew concerned when Robertson became unusually quiet. Co-host Phillip McMillan said a caregiver contacted him while taking Robertson to the emergency room, explaining that his oxygen level was low. These details are the co-hosts’ recollections relayed by news outlets, not a medical record or a direct statement from Robertson.
Did he break his ribs?
According to the co-hosts’ account, Robertson was in pain and thought he might have broken ribs. They said X-rays and blood work were reassuring and that his ribs were bruised rather than broken. The two contemporaneous reports broadly agreed on that outcome, but neither is a substitute for a medical record.

Was the accident part of a later health update?
No. The boat fall and ER visit were reported in January 2025. A separate hospitalization was reported in October 2025 after a severe sinus infection; that report cited an update from Martin. It concerned a different illness and does not establish Robertson’s health today. The accounts cited here do not confirm his condition as of October 2026.
Why is Uncle Si associated with Duck Dynasty?
A&E lists Si Robertson among the cast of Duck Dynasty. The network’s series page describes the show as an 11-season, 123-episode series and lists it for streaming on A&E; availability may vary by territory.
