The February 16, 2024 order found the defendants liable, continued an independent-monitor arrangement, required an independent compliance director, and restricted certain business activities. The figure most often highlighted in immediate news coverage was approximately $355 million, referring to the principal disgorgement amount assessed against Donald Trump personally in the trial-court decision.
That was not the total liability for every defendant in the case. The overall judgment and interest involving multiple defendants were larger, so it is more accurate to describe the order as requiring Trump individually to pay roughly $355 million than to call $355 million the entire case total.
The order also barred Trump from serving as an officer or director of a New York corporation or other New York legal entity for three years. It restricted Trump and the Trump Organization from applying for loans from certain New York-regulated financial institutions for three years.

The current official Trump Sneakers storefront has a broader and changing catalog, including Never Surrender shoes, POTUS 47 shoes, golf shoes, boots, and other footwear. For example, the site has listed a Never Surrender Low Top – Black at $199, although that listing showed the product as sold out when it was checked. Current catalog listings should not be confused with the original February 2024 launch assortment.
Trump did not necessarily manufacture or design the shoes
The footwear was not presented by the available reporting as a product manufactured by the Trump Organization. The commercial arrangement involved 45Footwear LLC, which used Trump’s name, likeness, and image under a licensing agreement.
That makes the appearance a promotion for a licensed merchandise venture. It does not establish that Trump personally designed, manufactured, or operated the shoe company. It also does not establish how much money Trump received from each sale. No specific royalty, commission, or percentage should be attributed to him without a reliable filing or contract.
What the $399 price did—and did not—mean
The price positioned the Never Surrender High-Top as a conspicuous collectible or statement item rather than an ordinary mass-market running or basketball shoe. Its value to buyers was tied not only to materials or construction but also to its political branding, limited launch quantity, and association with Trump’s public identity.
It would be incorrect, however, to say that Trump “made $355 million from the shoes.” The roughly $355 million figure came from the civil-fraud judgment, not from sneaker sales. Likewise, a reported sellout does not by itself reveal the company’s revenue, profit, Trump’s compensation, or the number of pairs ultimately sold after the launch.

The later legal-status update
A current account should not describe the February 2024 monetary order as though it remains unchanged. On August 21, 2025, New York’s Appellate Division, First Department issued an opinion that, according to the New York attorney general’s statement and court-reporting record, affirmed the underlying fraud-liability determination while vacating the monetary penalty.
Accordingly, the original trial-court order remains important to understanding the timing of the Sneaker Con appearance, but the status of its monetary penalty must be described with the later appellate development in mind. The February 2024 event occurred immediately after the trial judge’s order; it does not provide a snapshot of the final status of every remedy in the litigation.
