No—Jubal Valentine remains part of FBI after his suspension storyline. CBS’s episode information places the suspension in Season 7, then describes Jubal taking on a new leadership role in the Season 8 premiere. That later story development makes the suspension a temporary complication, not a sign that Jubal or actor Jeremy Sisto left the series.
Why was Jubal suspended on FBI?
The suspension storyline begins in Season 7’s “Pledges.” After Jubal learns that his son Tyler has been arrested during a protest-related investigation, he intervenes. Isobel suspends him pending an investigation. CBS’s episode guide establishes those events, but it does not establish the investigation’s findings or describe a formal reinstatement order. What does CBS reveal about Jubal’s fate?
Jubal continues to appear in the series after “Pledges.” CBS’s Season 7 listings proceed beyond the suspension episode, and its Season 8 materials continue to feature him. The Season 8 premiere description says Jubal takes on a new leadership role as reality weighs on him. Paramount’s official FBI page also lists Jeremy Sisto as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine. CBS Season 8 materials · Paramount’s FBI page
Those later appearances and the leadership development show that Jubal remains in the Bureau’s story. They support the practical answer that he does not leave the show over the suspension; they do not, by themselves, document a specific on-screen reinstatement scene.

Which season has the suspension—and which has the leadership role?
The season numbering is easy to mix up: the suspension cliffhanger happens in Season 7, while the later update about Jubal’s leadership role is tied to the Season 8 premiere. CBS’s current show page displays Season 9 episodes, so the series has continued beyond both developments; episode listings can change as CBS updates its schedule.
