As of October 8, 2026, both Netflix sequels—365 Days: This Day and The Next 365 Days—show a 0% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2020 original does too. That figure is the critics’ score, not the audience rating: Rotten Tomatoes lists separate Popcornmeter scores for viewers.
What the 0% Rotten Tomatoes scores mean
The Tomatometer measures the share of counted critic reviews that are positive. A 0% score means that, on the Rotten Tomatoes pages checked on October 8, 2026, none of the counted reviews for each film was classified as positive. It does not mean that no one watched or enjoyed the movies, and it is not the same as an audience score.
The critic-review totals are different, so the films’ identical percentages do not represent equally sized samples. Rotten Tomatoes displayed 17 critic reviews for This Day and six for The Next 365 Days. Scores and review counts can change as the site adds reviews.
Critics’ scores and audience ratings compared
| Film | Tomatometer | Critic reviews | Popcornmeter | Audience ratings shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 365 Days (2020) | 0% | 14 | 36% | 2,500+ |
| 365 Days: This Day (2022) | 0% | 17 | 41% | 50+ |
| The Next 365 Days (2022) | 0% | 6 | 36% | 100+ |
These are Rotten Tomatoes page figures accessed on October 8, 2026; both scores and counts may change. The Popcornmeter percentages are separate audience measures, not a correction to the critic score. The audience-rating pools also vary greatly: This Day had 50+ ratings shown, compared with 2,500+ for the original, so the percentages should not be treated as a direct popularity ranking.

Why the films received such negative critic scores
A 0% score summarizes the reviews counted on Rotten Tomatoes; it does not identify one universal reason critics responded negatively, nor does it explain why Netflix continued the series. The critic pages offer individual judgments rather than a single shared explanation. For example, Katie Rife’s review of This Day is listed at 1/4, and the original film’s page includes multiple one-star reviews. Those are named critics’ assessments, not objective measurements of every viewer’s reaction.
Netflix’s comments about the sequels are promotional, not independent critical evaluations. When announcing the films, author Blanka Lipińska described the story as being about a woman learning from mistakes and having an opportunity to correct them. Actress Anna-Maria Sieklucka said Laura is more mature and stronger in This Day. Those statements describe the creators’ and cast member’s intentions and character interpretation; they do not explain the Tomatometer result.

What the three films are about, and what order to watch
The Netflix-associated series follows Laura and Massimo across three films. Netflix says the movies are loosely based on Blanka Lipińska’s book trilogy.
- 365 Days (2020): Rotten Tomatoes lists the Polish-language drama/romance as released for streaming on June 7, 2020, with a runtime of 1 hour 54 minutes. Its synopsis introduces a woman who travels to Sicily to save her relationship and meets Massimo.
- 365 Days: This Day (2022): Released April 27, 2022, with a listed runtime of 1 hour 50 minutes, the sequel follows Laura and Massimo after their reunion, as family ties and a mysterious man complicate their new beginning.
- The Next 365 Days (2022): Released August 19, 2022, with a listed runtime of 1 hour 54 minutes, the third film continues Laura and Massimo’s story.
Release order is the straightforward viewing order because the later films continue the characters’ story. Rotten Tomatoes lists Netflix as a subscription viewing option for the films; availability and service details can vary by region and change over time.

Why Netflix made sequels despite the critics’ scores
Netflix’s 2020 announcement said the first film had appeared in the service’s daily Top 10 in more than 90 countries and was Google’s fourth most-searched-for film globally in 2020. Those are Netflix’s published claims about the film’s reach and search interest, not independent audience research or an explanation of any individual viewer’s preferences.
The same announcement said Netflix was working with Lipińska to continue Laura and Massimo’s story. Its stated franchise rationale shows that the company chose to make more films, but it does not establish a single reason for the decision or prove that critic and viewer responses were the same.

Content and viewing notes
Netflix labels 365 Days: This Day TV-MA and categorizes it as a drama; the page also uses descriptors including “Soapy” and “Steamy.” A Common Sense Media critic summary listed on Rotten Tomatoes for The Next 365 Days describes graphic sex and language. That description is attributable to the summary, rather than a universal content rating for all regions. Netflix’s audio, subtitle, download, and availability details may differ by location; the page checked listed English (original) audio among its options.
