Disney’s Explore page currently includes a “Top 10 in the US Today” section, but the titles can change. Disney’s launch announcement and FAQ explain how the list works.
What Disney+’s Top 10 Today list shows
Top 10 Today is a daily collection of ten movies and/or series Disney says are popular on Disney+ in a particular country or territory. The number ten describes the size of the collection; it is not a claim about total audience size or a standalone viewing statistic.
The list is intended to help subscribers discover titles that are gaining attention. It should not be read as a transparent, strictly chronological table of the ten most-viewed titles: Disney says its formula uses more than views alone.
How Disney says it determines what is popular
Disney says its formula considers total views for movies and for individual series episodes within a day, as well as the growing popularity of newly released titles. The company’s FAQ puts the distinction plainly: “As mentioned, views are a component of the Top 10 Today formula but it’s not the sole determining factor.”

For a series, engagement is reflected at the episode level. Disney has not published a numerical formula or weights that would let viewers reproduce the order independently, so the list should be understood as Disney’s own popularity feature rather than an independently measured ranking.
Why your Top 10 may differ from someone else’s
Disney says the collection reflects the on-demand catalog available to the viewer, including availability tied to subscription level, as well as profile settings such as content-rating level. A viewer’s country or territory also matters. As a result, two people may see different selections if their location, plan, or profile settings differ.

Disney’s launch FAQ asks, “Why is my Top 10 Today different from other profiles on my Disney+ account?” The answer is that the list takes account of what is available and appropriate for that profile. Disney also said at launch that Junior Mode profiles would not have the feature; that was a launch-era statement, not confirmation of the current limitation.
Where to find the list
Open Disney+ and look for the Top 10 collection in the service’s browsing or Explore area. Disney’s official Explore page currently displays “Top 10 Streaming” and “Top 10 in the US Today.” The wording and placement can change, so check Disney+ directly for the current collection in your region.

Because the list changes over time, any article or screenshot naming specific titles should include the country or territory and the date it was checked. A live chart is a snapshot, not a durable ranking.

- It does: show ten titles Disney identifies as currently popular in a particular market, subject to catalog and profile availability.
- It does: use daily movie- and episode-level views alongside the growing popularity of new releases, according to Disney.
- It does not: disclose a complete formula, weights, or a public numerical view-count table.
- It does not: establish a global ranking or prove that every subscriber sees the same ten titles.
- It is not: Nielsen data or an independent audience measurement.
When comparing it with another streaming service’s chart, check the geography, update cadence, personalization by profile or plan, how series are counted, and whether the service explains its ranking inputs. Similar-looking lists need not measure popularity in the same way.
