Yes—the Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket was reported as a physical promotional collectible shaped like Wolverine’s head. In April 2024, director Shawn Levy praised Ryan Reynolds’s idea for it, saying it “might be one of the greatest strokes of genius” Reynolds had on the movie. That was Levy’s praise for the idea, not a universal verdict on the finished product.
What Shawn Levy said about the bucket
Levy made the remark during the film’s April 2024 CinemaCon promotional cycle. ComicBookMovie.com quoted him saying: “That might be one of the greatest strokes of genius that Ryan Reynolds has had on this movie. You’ll just have to wait and see [what that looks like].” Read the April 13, 2024 report.
Levy was discussing Reynolds’s concept for the promotional item and the challenge of merchandising a film while keeping surprises under wraps. His enthusiastic remark was about Reynolds’s idea; it was not a product review or evidence of audience reaction. MobileSyrup’s April 15, 2024 account also relayed the comment.
What the bucket looked like
The design was not publicly revealed in the initial April announcement. That report described the planned bucket as intentionally crude and lewd, relaying Kevin Feige’s presentation at CinemaCon rather than supplying an official product specification. MobileSyrup reported the announcement and the early design caveat.

Later coverage described a bucket shaped like Wolverine’s head, with “Designed by Deadpool” written on the side. Creative Bloq reported those design details; they should be understood as secondary coverage, not a manufacturer’s specification sheet. See Creative Bloq’s coverage. Esquire also mentioned Wolverine popcorn buckets during the film’s San Diego Comic-Con panel coverage: Esquire’s August 2024 report.

Deadpool & Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy, opened on July 26, 2024, according to Cineplex’s film listing. The reporting establishes that a physical promotional bucket was described, but it does not establish whether one is currently in stock, what it costs, who sells it, or whether a present-day marketplace listing is licensed. If searching for the collectible, “Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket” is a useful phrase; verify the seller and listing details rather than assuming any result is authentic.
