Creatorville and Homecoming Studios have announced a true-crime collaboration that includes two access-led documentary miniseries in production for unnamed clients, plus two additional projects they plan to present to prospective partners at MIPCOM. The announcement does not identify the broadcaster or streaming platform, disclose the in-production series’ titles, or give release dates.
What the collaboration includes
Creatorville, led by Sam Barcroft, and Homecoming Studios, led by John Farrar, say they are working together on two true-crime documentary miniseries. One is being produced for a broadcaster and the other for a global streaming platform. The announcement keeps both projects’ titles and clients confidential, and does not say that either has been released or provide a distribution territory.

The stated creative rationale is to combine Creatorville’s access to original journalism and its sister company SWNS’s casting expertise with Homecoming Studios’ documentary-production experience. The announcement describes SWNS as the UK’s largest independent press agency; it does not provide independent ranking evidence for that characterization.
Barcroft said the partnership would bring journalism and access to television audiences, and described Farrar as a creative producer with an instinct for true-crime storytelling. Farrar said the collaboration had already secured two series. These are the partners’ characterizations; the announcement does not name the clients or provide further details about the series.

Which projects are being presented at MIPCOM?
Alongside the two miniseries in production, Creatorville and Homecoming Studios plan to present two other projects to potential commissioning and distribution partners. A market presentation is not confirmation that a project has been commissioned, sold, or entered production.
Buried in the Past (working title)
This access-led documentary follows an American woman’s decades-long search for the truth about a suspected murder she says she witnessed as a child. The synopsis says she believes she has identified the person responsible and a possible victim: a mother of four who has been missing for more than 50 years. Those are the woman’s beliefs as described in the project announcement, not independently verified findings.

Key Witness
This proposed true-crime anthology is based on one of the studios’ YouTube channels, which the announcement calls one of its fastest-growing true-crime channels in 2026. No channel name, audience figures, or measurement period is given. Each episode is described as drawing on first-person accounts from people whose lives were changed by headline-making crimes. The partners say SWNS journalists’ casting expertise is intended to bring forward previously unheard testimony and fresh perspectives.

MIPCOM Cannes is a content market where industry participants develop, produce, finance, and distribute programming. Its official 2026 event dates are 12–15 October at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. The two projects being presented there are seeking prospective partners; the announcement does not report completed deals.
