The deal’s duration and other terms have not been disclosed in the available reporting.
What the reports say about Cody Rhodes
Reports published October 8, 2026 by HITC, syndicated by Yahoo Sports, and Heavy, syndicated by Yahoo Sports, identify Rhodes as the subject of the new-contract story. The HITC report says he opted against entering free agency and views his WWE run as the final chapter of his wrestling career. It also reports that he remains free to pursue projects outside the ring.
Those are reported intentions and do not establish specific contract clauses. The available reporting is indirect; it does not provide a directly attributable Rhodes quote, so his reported outlook should not be presented as a verbatim statement.
What is—and is not—known about the deal
The reports describe the agreement as long-term, but do not state its length, compensation, signing date, or other terms. They do not establish an end date, a guaranteed number of appearances, or whether Rhodes will work a full-time schedule. Without those details, “long-term” should not be translated into a specific number of years.
