Who is making the Chris Farley biopic?
TheWrap reported on April 30, 2024, that New Line Cinema acquired the project package. The announcement named Josh Gad as director and described the film as his directorial debut. Lorne Michaels and Erin David were named as producers through Broadway Video; Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber were named as screenwriters.
What is the biopic based on?
The screenplay was reported as based on The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts, by Tom Farley Jr. and Tanner Colby. TheWrap reported that the Farley family blessed the project. Hauser described the intended story as bringing together Farley’s comedy and his real-life experiences, rather than presenting only the performer audiences saw onstage and screen.

When will the Chris Farley movie start filming?
