When did Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 start?
The series premiered on Thursday, 6 November 2025, at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, according to TV Guide. TV Guide reported six episodes expected overall. These were UK launch details; they do not establish current availability in other countries.
Who were the contestants?
The 2025 series featured four teams, each pairing a celebrity with a relative or partner:
- Anita Rani and her father, Bal — broadcaster and writer Anita Rani travelled with her father.
- Dylan Llewellyn and his mother, Jackie — the actor was paired with his mother.
- Tyler West and Molly Rainford — presenter and DJ West raced with his partner, actor and singer Rainford.
- Roman Kemp and his sister, Harleymoon — broadcaster Kemp travelled with his sister, a singer-songwriter.
The Royal Television Society (RTS) and TV Guide listed the pairings; the RTS contestant summary identifies Roman Kemp’s sister as Harleymoon.

Where did the race go?
The route began on Isla Mujeres, off Mexico’s eastern coast, and ended on Colombia’s remote La Guajira Peninsula. The RTS described the journey as a 5,900km race across Central America; TV Guide also reported the endpoints and distance. The published route information establishes the start, finish and overall distance, but not a complete list of intermediate stops or episode-by-episode legs.
What did the trailer say?
The BBC published its official trailer on 27 October 2025, with a description inviting viewers to watch on iPlayer from 6 November. The description said the celebrity pairs would travel without phones or flights and receive “zero VIP treatment.” Those are claims from the trailer description; it does not spell out further details of the rules.
