Update for August 9, 2026: Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence “Bud” Crawford is no longer live. The fight took place on September 13, 2025, and the original main-event broadcast streamed on Netflix without a separate pay-per-view charge. You may still be able to watch the replay through Netflix’s official Canelo–Crawford title page, but an active Netflix membership is required.

There was no verified official, zero-cost stream of the complete main event without Netflix access. The preliminary bouts were the portion made freely available online through Netflix Tudum and Netflix’s official YouTube feed at the time.

The short answer

If you are searching for a Canelo vs. Crawford livestream, the important date correction is that the event has already happened. The fight was held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13, 2025.

  • Original main-event broadcaster: Netflix
  • Separate boxing PPV fee: None
  • Free without Netflix: No verified official option for the full fight
  • Free prelims: Yes, through Netflix Tudum and the official Netflix YouTube feed at the time
  • Replay now: Check the official Netflix listing; availability is not guaranteed permanently and can vary by country

Netflix continues to list the event as a 2025 sports title in the United States. That listing does not guarantee that every viewer can play it: Netflix catalogs, language options, device support and replay windows can change.

How to watch the Canelo–Crawford replay now

  1. Open Netflix’s official Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford page, or search Netflix for Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford.
  2. Sign in to an active Netflix account.
  3. Select the title and choose Play if it is available in your market.
  4. If the exact title does not appear, also search for Canelo vs. Crawford.
  5. If playback fails, try Netflix.com in a supported browser or a newer version of the Netflix app.

Netflix says that some live events may be available as replays only for a limited period after the broadcast. Therefore, the safest wording is that the replay may be available, not that it will remain online indefinitely. Check the official listing after signing in before paying for a new subscription solely to watch this fight.

If the title is missing or will not play

  • Check the region: Netflix content availability differs by country and may change over time. The event was promoted as a global Netflix stream, but that does not mean the current replay catalog is identical everywhere. Use the official listing for your location rather than relying on a third-party guide.
  • Check the profile: A maturity restriction or restricted profile can prevent the title from appearing.
  • Check the account: Confirm that the membership is active and not on hold.
  • Update the software: Update both the operating system and Netflix app if you receive an “App update needed” message. Netflix identifies outdated software as a cause of live-event playback problems; its app-update support page explains the general fix.
  • Try another device: An old television app, streaming box or mobile device may not support every Netflix feature. A current browser on a computer or a newer Netflix-compatible TV device is a practical alternative.

Was Canelo vs. Crawford free?

The answer depends on what “free” means. Netflix included the main event with its regular membership plans and did not add a boxing pay-per-view charge. But viewers still needed Netflix access. It was not a free-to-everyone stream.

Question Answer
Was there a separate PPV charge? No. Netflix included the event with its plans.
Was the main event included with an existing Netflix subscription? Yes. Netflix described it as free with a Netflix subscription.
Could someone without Netflix watch the complete main event officially at no cost? No verified official option was identified in the sources reviewed.
Were the preliminary bouts free? Yes, at the time. The prelims were offered through Netflix Tudum and an official Netflix YouTube feed.
Does Netflix offer a free trial? No. Netflix’s current help page says it does not offer free trials.

For a U.S. viewer who does not already subscribe, Netflix’s plans page lists Standard with ads at $8.99 per month, with Standard at $19.99 and Premium at $26.99. These are U.S. prices checked for this update and may change; taxes and other billing conditions may apply. The plan cost is not a fight-specific fee, but subscribing still may not be worthwhile unless the replay is playable in your region.

See Netflix’s plans and pricing page and its free-trial help page for current terms.

What was free: the preliminary card

The genuinely free part of the original online coverage was the preliminary card. Netflix made the prelims available through its Tudum event page and the official Netflix YouTube livestream.

Those links should be treated as historical sources, not a promise that the live feed or a complete replay remains available. Check the pages directly. The free prelim coverage did not make the full Canelo–Crawford main event available without Netflix.

Because the 2025 event is now over, do not rely on old pages telling you to set a reminder or tune in “tonight.” The current action is to check the replay listing.

Devices: what you need to watch the replay

For the original livestream, Netflix supported most newer smart TVs, streaming media players, Android phones and tablets, iPhones and iPads, Mac and Windows computers, and game consoles. Netflix’s current live-events help page says mobile live-event viewing requires an updated app and identifies Android 9 or later and iOS/iPadOS 18 or later for mobile devices. Computer viewing is supported in a browser or through the Windows 10-and-later app.

For a replay, ordinary Netflix title compatibility matters more than live-event compatibility. In practice, the best choices are:

  • a current Netflix app on a supported smart TV or streaming player;
  • Netflix.com in a current browser on a Mac or Windows computer;
  • an updated Netflix app on a recent iPhone, iPad or Android device; or
  • a supported game console with an up-to-date Netflix app.

Do not assume that every casting or mirroring setup works. Netflix lists older Chromecast generations, Chrome-browser casting and some wireless-mirroring methods as unsupported for live events. If a phone-to-TV setup fails, play the title directly through the television’s Netflix app or connect through a supported computer or streaming device.

Account access and watching with somebody else

An existing Netflix member is not charged an additional fee for this event. Someone watching together with a friend on that friend’s television or Netflix.com browser does not need a separate membership for that viewing session, according to Netflix’s active-membership guidance.

That is different from sharing a Netflix account outside the household. Netflix’s account-sharing rules generally require people outside the account holder’s household to use their own account or, where eligible, be added as an extra member. Extra members are not available on ad-supported plans, and eligibility depends on country and billing arrangement.

Do not enter another person’s Netflix credentials on a third-party streaming page. If you are watching with the account holder, use the official Netflix service on the account holder’s permitted device or use an eligible account arrangement offered by Netflix.

Language options

The original event offered live English and Spanish broadcast options. The current U.S. Netflix listing displays English, Spanish Latin America, French, German and Arabic among its listed audio or subtitle options, along with English audio description. The exact choices can differ by country, profile, device and the title’s current catalog version, so open the audio and subtitles menu after starting playback.

Troubleshooting guide

“I cannot find the title”

  1. Search both Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford and Canelo vs. Crawford.
  2. Open the direct official title page while signed in.
  3. Check the profile’s maturity settings.
  4. Confirm that the account is active.
  5. Check whether the title is available in your country.

“App update needed”

Update the Netflix app and the device operating system, then restart the device. If the app cannot be updated, use Netflix.com in a supported browser or a newer device. Netflix’s official update guidance is the appropriate reference for app-specific errors.

“This device does not support livestreaming”

That message was relevant to the original live broadcast, not a requirement that every old device be able to join the event now. Netflix says an unsupported device may receive a live event later as an ordinary title, although availability can be delayed or limited. For this replay, switch to a supported current Netflix app or browser.

“The live event is unavailable to join right now”

This message cannot be used to join the 2025 fight because the livestream has ended. For Netflix live events generally, Netflix recommends trying again and notes that an event may become available shortly afterward, subject to its replay window. See Netflix’s live-event error guidance.

“Casting or mirroring does not work”

Use the Netflix app directly on the TV or streaming player instead of relying on unsupported casting or screen-mirroring methods. Compatibility can vary by Chromecast generation, browser and wireless-mirroring technology.

Why unofficial “free stream” pages are a bad substitute

Do not use an unofficial mirror, pirate IPTV service, torrent, APK, browser extension or social-media account claiming to unlock the full fight. Besides copyright concerns, these pages and downloads can put the account and device at risk.

The Federal Trade Commission warns that illegal streaming apps and add-ons can contain malware capable of stealing financial information, login credentials and personal data. The FBI has also warned about unofficial free sports-streaming devices and apps that can contain malware or backdoors.

Practical warning signs include a page asking you to install an APK, disable security software, enter Netflix credentials, install a browser extension, complete a suspicious CAPTCHA or run commands on your computer. Close the page and use Netflix’s official site or app instead.

Yes, an active Netflix membership is required to play the main-event title. Netflix does not currently offer free trials. U.S. pricing and plan availability can change.

Can I watch using someone else’s Netflix account?

You can watch with a friend on that friend’s permitted TV or browser, but Netflix generally does not allow ordinary account sharing outside the household. An out-of-household viewer generally needs an individual account or an eligible extra-member arrangement.

Were the prelims free?

Yes, the preliminary card was streamed through Netflix Tudum and the official Netflix YouTube feed at the time. Do not assume the original live feed or a replay remains available; check the official pages directly.

Was there a Spanish broadcast?

Yes. Netflix offered English and Spanish live broadcast options for the original event. Current audio and subtitle choices may differ by country and can change.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

What should I do if Netflix cannot find the fight?

Search for both “Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford” and “Canelo vs. Crawford,” then check your profile maturity settings, account status and country catalog. If the title remains unavailable, Netflix may no longer offer the replay in your market.

Can I watch from outside the United States?

Netflix promoted the original event as a global stream, but current replay availability and language options vary by region. Use the official Netflix listing for your country. Do not rely on a VPN as a guaranteed way to access a different catalog or bypass regional restrictions.

Is there an official YouTube replay of the full fight?

The official Netflix YouTube link covered the prelims, not the complete main event. Its continued replay availability should be checked directly. No official no-account, zero-cost full-fight stream was identified in the sources reviewed.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: Canelo vs. Crawford is no longer live. The original main event was included with Netflix rather than sold as a separate PPV, but it was not free without Netflix access. Start with the official Netflix replay page, verify that the title still plays in your country, and use Netflix Tudum or the official Netflix YouTube channel only for any remaining prelim coverage. Avoid unofficial “free stream” sites, apps and downloads, which can expose your credentials and devices to malware.
