In the United States, no permanent free legal stream of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma was listed at the latest availability check on July 31, 2026. The five-season anime is available through paid services including Crunchyroll, Hulu, and HiDive, with selected seasons also listed for digital purchase. A legitimate trial or promotion may reduce the cost temporarily, but it is not the same as permanently free streaming.

Hulu was shown at $11.99 per month, while a Hulu official page displayed a Disney+/Hulu ad-supported bundle at $12.99 per month. These are dated price signals, not guarantees: plans, promotions, taxes, and trial eligibility can differ at checkout.

If you already subscribe to Hulu, check it first for early seasons. If you mainly want later seasons or watch other anime, Crunchyroll may be more useful. HiDive can fill catalog gaps. For one missing season, a digital purchase—or physical DVD or Blu-ray, where available—may be more practical than maintaining two subscriptions.

English dub and Japanese audio
The official Crunchyroll page currently lists Japanese and English audio, plus English and several other subtitle languages. That does not establish that every season has every language track in every region. Open an episode and inspect the audio and subtitle menu before subscribing, especially if the English dub is essential.

What about Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, or Max?
The available U.S. research does not establish a current nationwide listing for the complete anime on Netflix, standalone Prime Video, Disney+, or Max. Amazon Video may refer to a purchase, while an Amazon Crunchyroll or HiDive channel requires its own paid subscription. Likewise, a Hulu bundle does not mean every season is included on Disney+.

- Search both “Food Wars!” and “Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma.”
- Try alternate names such as The Second Plate and The Third Plate.
- Check whether dubbed and subtitled versions are listed separately.
- Look for a paid channel add-on rather than only the base plan.
- Compare the exact season on JustWatch.
- If a title page exists but episodes cannot be played, treat the page as potentially stale and do not subscribe solely because it appears in search results.

Although Food Wars! centers on competitive cooking, it is not aimed at young children. JustWatch lists the series as TV-MA, and Crunchyroll provides advisories for nudity and profanity. Expect sexualized visual comedy, suggestive scenes, profanity, and mature themes.

At the July 31, 2026 check, there was no permanent free legal U.S. stream listed.
