Some individual films have appeared free with ads on services such as Tubi, Pluto TV, YouTube Free, or through a library-supported service such as Kanopy. That is different from having all 13 movies available free at the same time. Streaming rights vary by country, date, title, and service—and temporary franchise channels can disappear without much notice.
What counts as the 13 Star Trek movies?
The conventional 13-film theatrical collection contains six movies starring the Original Series cast, four featuring the Next Generation cast, and three films set in the alternate Kelvin timeline.

Where can you watch all 13?
Paramount+ is the clearest current all-13 option identified by the available evidence, but it is a subscription service rather than a confirmed free outlet. Its official Star Trek material says that all 13 theatrical films are available together. Availability and plan details can change, so viewers should check the current U.S. catalog—or the catalog for their own country—before subscribing.
If your priority is watching the entire theatrical set in one place, the Paramount+ Star Trek collection is the option to check first. If your priority is paying nothing, there is no reliable basis for promising that all 13 will be available free at once.

Why “free” can be misleading
Streaming guides often use “free” to describe several different situations:
| Type of access | What it usually means | Does it prove all 13 are free? |
|---|---|---|
| Free with ads | You can watch without paying a subscription, but commercial breaks are included. | No. Each title must be available individually. |
| Temporary pop-up channel | A service runs a franchise channel for a limited period, sometimes showing the films in rotation. | Only while the channel is active and carrying the complete lineup. |
| Library access | A participating library may provide a service such as Kanopy, subject to membership and viewing limits. | No. The library catalog may contain only selected films. |
| Promotional trial | A new or returning customer may receive a limited-time offer. | Not universally free, and eligibility and terms vary. |
| Subscription access | The films are included with a paid streaming plan. | It may provide all 13, but it is not free access. |
What is free right now, title by title?
The available checks show why a complete free collection should not be assumed:
- Star Trek (2009) is listed with Paramount+ subscription access and paid digital rental or purchase options. The check did not identify a free streaming option.
- Star Trek: The Motion Picture has been listed on Paramount+, fuboTV, and other paid services, while also appearing free with ads on Tubi in the relevant catalog check.
- Star Trek Into Darkness has likewise appeared free with ads on Pluto TV, alongside Paramount+ and paid rental and purchase options.
- Star Trek Generations has been listed free with ads on YouTube Free and available through Kanopy.
Those examples establish only title-by-title availability. They do not establish a single legal service where every one of the 13 movies can be watched free right now. The other films may have different rights, catalogs, or regional restrictions.

What happened to the Pluto TV all-13 offer?
Pluto TV has repeatedly used temporary Star Trek programming. In August 2024, it promoted a “Star Trek: The Motion Pictures” channel that carried all 13 theatrical films free with ads for a limited period. A 2025 report described another Pluto TV channel carrying the full set, while noting that the channel could be temporary.
Pluto expanded its Star Trek live-channel lineup in January 2026, but the available reporting described five Star Trek channels and did not confirm that an all-13 movie channel was still active on August 12, 2026. A July 2026 report said the all-13 Pluto offering had reportedly been removed at the beginning of May, with some classic films appearing individually on YouTube instead. Because that report is secondary and streaming availability can vary by territory, the safest wording is that the all-13 Pluto channel was reported removed—not that Pluto can never bring it back.

How to check before starting a marathon
- Choose your country first. A title listed in the United States may be unavailable or carried by a different service elsewhere.
- Search each film, not just “Star Trek.” A service can carry Into Darkness while lacking Beyond, or offer one title free with ads while putting another behind a subscription.
- Check the access label. Look for “free with ads,” “included with subscription,” “rent,” or “buy.” These are not interchangeable.
- Check the date. Pop-up channels and licensing deals can end between the time an article is published and the time you watch.
- Verify the final playback screen. A search result or aggregator listing can be outdated. Open the title in the service and confirm that it actually plays under the advertised access method.
- Check library requirements. Kanopy access generally depends on a participating library or educational institution, and viewing limits may apply.
The permanent-access alternative
For viewers who do not want to keep chasing rotating streaming rights, physical media is more predictable. The Star Trek 10-Movie Collection Blu-ray covers the first ten theatrical films—from The Motion Picture through Nemesis. It is not an all-13 collection.
To complete the conventional theatrical lineup physically, you would need the three Kelvin-timeline movies separately or a compatible Star Trek Kelvin trilogy Blu-ray or 4K collection. Packaging, stock, format, and regional compatibility should be checked before purchase. A Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray player is also required for discs, with 4K playback requiring a compatible 4K player and television.
That route costs money upfront, but it avoids subscription changes, disappearing licenses, advertising schedules, and internet availability. It also makes clear exactly which ten films are included in the main collection and which three need to be added.

Bottom line
The headline “You Can Now Watch All 13 Star Trek Movies for Free” is too broad based on the current evidence. All 13 theatrical films are together on Paramount+, but not confirmed free. Individual movies have appeared free with ads on different services, and Pluto TV has previously offered the complete lineup through temporary programming. Unless a same-day guide confirms every title in your region, assume that watching all 13 legally in one sitting will require a subscription, a mixture of free and paid services, or physical media.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I watch all 13 Star Trek movies free right now?
No. As of August 12, 2026, the complete 13-film collection is confirmed together on Paramount+, but not as a free offering. Some individual films may be free with ads on services such as Tubi, Pluto TV, or YouTube Free.
Does Star Trek: Section 31 count as the 14th Star Trek movie?
The conventional 13-film theatrical lineup ends with Star Trek Beyond (2016). Star Trek: Section 31, released on Paramount+ in 2025, is a separate streaming film and is not counted among the 13 theatrical movies.
Does the Star Trek 10-Movie Collection include all 13 films?
The Star Trek 10-Movie Collection Blu-ray contains the first ten theatrical films, through Star Trek: Nemesis. The three Kelvin-timeline films—Star Trek (2009), Into Darkness, and Beyond—must be obtained separately or through a compatible trilogy collection.

The Bottom Line
Bottom line: All 13 theatrical Star Trek movies are currently identified together on Paramount+, but a free all-13 stream is not confirmed. Free-with-ads availability is title-specific and temporary promotions such as Pluto TV’s full franchise channel may return or disappear.
