Neither guide documents adding a local video file as a source and setting it to repeat.
That is a limit of the published documentation, not proof that no device-specific or undocumented workaround can work on any phone, app build, or configuration.
Could screen sharing a video player work?
Possibly, but treat it as an experiment rather than a confirmed Streamlabs looping workflow. The guides establish screen sharing as a content path; they do not confirm that a video player will repeat while being captured, that its audio will reach the stream correctly, or that playback will continue uninterrupted during a broadcast.

Before relying on this method for a scheduled stream, test the exact phone, operating-system version, Streamlabs app version, video player, and audio settings you plan to use. Confirm that the picture repeats, the intended audio is audible in the broadcast, and playback continues when the phone is locked or the app changes state—if those behaviors matter to your setup. Do not assume they will work without testing.
What to use for a prerecorded-video broadcast
YouTube lists mobile and encoder streaming as separate methods. Streamlabs’ YouTube documentation also distinguishes its mobile camera/screen-share route from an encoder workflow. If your goal is to broadcast a controlled prerecorded video, investigate an encoder setup that explicitly supports a repeatable media source, and verify the complete video-and-audio workflow in the software and configuration you choose. The cited guides do not establish a specific encoder configuration for looping.

Before going live, check YouTube’s live-streaming requirements. They include a verified channel, no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days, and a minimum age of 16. These are YouTube requirements, not Streamlabs loop-feature requirements.
