Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallOBS is the more clearly documented choice of these two for looping prerecorded video on YouTube: its Media Source can loop a local file, and its VLC Video source can loop a playlist. CameraFi Live accepts video files according to its current Google Play listing, but the official material reviewed does not explain unattended, resilient 24/7 playback. That is an evidence limit, not proof that no CameraFi setup can do it.
Neither app, by itself, establishes around-the-clock reliability. OBS depends on the computer and connection running it; for a stream that must keep going without a computer at home, consider a cloud service designed for continuous YouTube streams.
Which should you choose?
| Need | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Loop a local prerecorded video or playlist with a documented workflow | OBS Studio | OBS documents looping a Media Source and looping a VLC playlist. OBS Media Sources |
| Run a mobile, operator-driven broadcast with camera inputs and overlays | CameraFi Live | CameraFi promotes mobile production controls and its Google Play listing includes video files as an input. Its reviewed official material does not establish unattended 24/7 playout. CameraFi · Google Play listing |
| Keep prerecorded video live around the clock without leaving a computer on | StreamNeo | It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. |
OBS is free, open-source desktop encoder software listed in YouTube’s verified encoder directory. CameraFi is a mobile live-production app. The choice is not simply about whether a file can be selected: unattended operation also depends on power, internet stability, monitoring, and recovery when something fails. The cited product material does not provide measured uptime comparisons.
What CameraFi Live supports—and what is not established
CameraFi describes a mobile broadcast workflow with support for cameras such as DSLRs and camcorders, plus overlays and production controls. Its Google Play listing names built-in and USB cameras, capture cards, video files, audio files, and microphones as possible inputs. Listed destinations include YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Restream, RTMP, and SRT, as well as recording. The listing says H.264 and HEVC encoding are available and that output can reach UHD/4K depending on platform and phone model. These are developer-supplied listing claims, not independent performance-test results. The listing showed an update date of September 17, 2026, when reviewed. CameraFi · Google Play listing

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For this particular job, the important gap is that the reviewed official material does not describe a continuous unattended video-file playout procedure, automatic recovery, or an uptime guarantee. That does not mean CameraFi cannot be configured to broadcast a video file; it means the available documentation does not establish that it is a dependable 24/7 playout system. Choose it when you need mobile production and an operator, rather than assuming its file input alone answers the resilience question.
How OBS can loop prerecorded video
OBS’s documented Media Source plays a local file and has a Loop option. For multiple clips, OBS’s VLC Video source supports a playlist and a Loop Playlist option. The exact labels can change between OBS releases; consult the current OBS interface and the project’s Media Sources documentation.

- Create a scene. In OBS, add or select a scene for the YouTube broadcast. Add a Media Source for one local video, or a VLC Video source for a playlist.
- Choose the media. For a single-file Media Source, select the video file and enable Loop. For a VLC Video source, add the files to its playlist and enable Loop Playlist.
- Check the scene before going live. Confirm the video and audio play as expected and that the scene is the one OBS will send to YouTube. A loop setting handles playback repetition; it does not keep a powered-off computer or failed network connection running.
- Connect OBS to YouTube. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and use the encoder connection details. Where YouTube integration is available, select it in the encoder; otherwise enter YouTube’s stream URL and stream key in the encoder settings. Keep the key private.
- Start the encoder and verify the live preview. Begin sending from OBS, then check YouTube Studio’s preview and stream status before relying on the broadcast. If this is your first time enabling live streaming, YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours; do not leave setup until the planned start time. YouTube encoder setup
OBS’s documentation establishes how to loop media, not long-term uptime or automatic recovery when the computer, network, or stream fails. Plan how someone will notice an interruption and restart the encoder if you choose this local method.
Plan separately for continuous operation and archiving
A loop can continue in OBS while the system is functioning, but a 24/7 broadcast adds operational dependencies: the host computer must stay powered, the internet connection must remain usable, and failures need to be noticed and handled. No uptime comparison or recovery guarantee for CameraFi versus OBS is established by the cited material.

Do not assume a continuous broadcast will become one complete archive. The YouTube Help guidance reviewed says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; for a longer broadcast, verify YouTube’s current archive behavior and plan recordings or stream restarts if a complete archive matters. Keep the content and channel in good standing
Using prerecorded footage does not remove the need to hold the rights to what you broadcast. Check that you have permission for the video, soundtrack, images, and any other material in the stream, and review YouTube’s current live-streaming and monetization rules before scheduling recurring content. A stream being technically live does not establish that its material is authorized or eligible for monetization.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is for YouTube channels that want uploaded videos to loop continuously without leaving a computer or home connection running. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo runs the loop in the cloud and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
