The one-day deal has expired.
How the full-moon offer worked
The promotion applied to Royal Perks members ordering through the Burger King app or website for order-ahead or dine-in at participating U.S. restaurants. It was limited to one redemption per account, could not be combined with other offers, and was unavailable during breakfast hours. Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories were excluded. Local participation, prices, and purple-bun supplies could vary, so the bun was not guaranteed.
The wording “free Whopper” therefore depended on buying one Wednesday’s Whopper at full price. The deal was separate from the broader Addams Family menu promotion, which ran from October 10 through November 10, 2024, subject to supplies and participation.
What was in Wednesday’s Whopper?
Wednesday’s Whopper was a Whopper with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and onions, served on a purple-potato bun. Contemporary coverage also described black sesame seeds on the bun. The purple color gave the burger its Halloween tie-in, but Burger King did not promise that every participating restaurant would have the bun in stock.
