Spoilers ahead. Blue Bloods ends with its Season 14 finale, “End of Tour,” which aired December 13, 2024. The Reagan family’s police work converges on a gang leader’s revenge plot, then the final Sunday dinner brings news of a baby, a remarriage and a possible new romance.
What happens in the “End of Tour” finale?
The final episode, Season 14, Episode 18, begins with violent crimes and attempted murders that seem unrelated. As the investigations unfold, the Reagan family members discover they are pursuing different threads of the same gang operation in New York City. Showrunner Kevin Wade said the separate investigative paths were designed to bring the characters into a shared story while allowing each to have a distinct part in it. CBS lists the episode and its air date; Wade discussed the structure in a pre-finale interview with TV Insider.
Carlos Ramirez’s motive and surrender
The crimes lead to Carlos Ramirez, a gang leader seeking vengeance and trying to reclaim his child. Ramirez had been forced to leave his young daughter behind when he fled prosecution. Rather than escaping or forcing a reunion, he ultimately surrenders to Danny so his daughter can visit him in jail. The finale gives Ramirez a recognizable parental motive without excusing the violence he has committed, as Wade explained after the episode in a TV Insider interview.
What happens to the Reagans at the final dinner?
The closing family dinner returns to the ritual that has anchored the series. Jamie and Eddie announce they are expecting a baby. Erin and Jack have remarried, but Erin keeps that news to herself at dinner rather than divert attention from Jamie and Eddie’s announcement. Danny arrives with Baez after a date, suggesting their relationship may become romantic without establishing that they are now a settled couple. TheWrap’s finale recap also describes the closing developments as new beginnings.
#1 Best Overall
These are meaningful changes, not a complete account of every character’s future. The series stops with relationships and possibilities still in motion. Wade described the intended close as satisfying for the Reagans, while noting that their victories often came at a cost in the stories he found most moving. TV Insider published those comments before the finale.

CBS announced on November 20, 2023, that Season 14 would be the show’s last, with episodes split between spring and fall 2024. The network’s announcement reported that Blue Bloods drew 9.54 million viewers during the 2022–2023 season and more than 11 million per episode in live-plus-35-day multiplatform viewing. Those are CBS-reported historical series audience figures, not ratings for the finale; no finale-specific audience figure is established here.

CBS’s series page identifies “End of Tour” as the finale and lists all 14 seasons. The 2023 announcement also described Paramount+ access at that time: subscribers to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME could stream live through their local CBS affiliate and watch on demand, while Paramount+ Essential subscribers could watch episodes on demand the day after broadcast. Those were the terms announced for 2024, not a guarantee of current availability.
