Beyoncé’s connection is less firmly documented: a 2024 report identified her Cécred haircare store as a Shopify site, but the evidence cited here does not include first-party confirmation. These are dated examples, not proof of the platforms the live stores use today.

Taylor Swift: Eras Tour merchandise
In the transcript of Shopify’s Q2 FY2023 earnings call, CEO Harley Finkelstein said: “In July, Taylor Swift launched her Era Tour merch shop with us, experiencing unprecedented volume of sales and site visitors on launch day and we were ready for it…” The transcript is hosted by ROIC AI and presents the remark as part of Shopify’s earnings call. It gives no numeric sales, visitor, or traffic figure, so “unprecedented” should be understood as Shopify’s characterization, not a published measurement.
By Association Only also reports that Shopify hosted the Eras Tour merchandise store at launch in July 2023. Its account describes merchandise such as T-shirts, Christmas tree decorations, jewellery, and vinyl. The sources support platform use at launch, not the current technology behind the store.
MrBeast: a Shopify store with other technology in the stack
Shopify’s Q2 FY2023 call said MrBeast “revamped his store using one of Shopify’s out-of-the-box free themes.” A technical account from the developer Basement Studio, published October 21, 2022, gives further evidence of Shopify’s role in the implementation.

Basement Studio documented use of Shopify’s Admin API to create discount codes, its Discounts API to configure redemption rules, and its Storefront API for the storefront. The case study also names Vercel and Axiom in the technology stack. Shopify was therefore part of a broader implementation, not necessarily the only provider involved. Basement Studio described Shopify as its team’s ecommerce provider; that is the developer’s statement, not a claim made by MrBeast personally.
Beyoncé: the evidence concerns Cécred
The cited association is with Cécred, Beyoncé’s haircare brand—not a verified personal Shopify account. Website Builder Expert’s article, updated August 2, 2024, identifies Cécred as a Shopify store and says the brand launched in early 2024. That is secondary coverage; the evidence available here does not include a statement from Cécred or Shopify confirming the platform, and it does not establish what technology the live store uses now.

What the Shopify partnership figures do—and do not—show
A Shopify-branded creator-partnership presentation reports a “3 percentage point increase in 18-34 demographic on the platform as measured by the merchant survey” in its MrBeast partnership learnings. The presentation does not establish an independent study in the material cited here, so the figure should be read as Shopify’s reported merchant-survey result rather than as a general or independently verified causal effect. The presentation itself cautions: “Without a brand lift or specific brand study, causal correlations are impossible to assess.”
That distinction matters: a platform case study or company presentation can document a partnership or report an outcome, but it does not by itself prove that the platform caused the result.

How to interpret claims that a celebrity “uses Shopify”
- Identify what is being described. A celebrity may be associated with a merchandise shop or a brand’s online store; that is different from evidence of a personal Shopify account.
- Check the source and date. A company earnings-call statement, a developer’s technical case study, and a secondary article provide different kinds of evidence.
- Separate platform from full stack. An online store can use Shopify alongside other technology providers.
- Do not assume the setup is permanent. These examples document platform use at particular points in time, not a current audit of the live websites.
