Beyoncé became the most-nominated artist in Grammy history after receiving 11 nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards, bringing her career total to 99. That moved her ahead of Jay-Z, with whom she had been tied at 88 nominations after the 2023 nominations. The Recording Academy lists 99 nominations and 35 wins for Beyoncé as of the 2025 Grammys; a later 2026 nominations announcement does not provide a revised total.

The date matters: the Academy’s announcement for the 2026 Grammy cycle, published November 7, 2025, does not state a new career tally for Beyoncé. The 99 figure is therefore best described as her total as of the 2025 Grammys, not as a newly confirmed 2026 count.
When did Beyoncé set the record?
The milestone came with the 2025 nominations. The Recording Academy said the 11 new nominations brought her to 99, making her the most-nominated artist in Grammy history. Before that, she shared the record with Jay-Z: after the 2023 nominations, both had 88 career nominations.

The Academy’s 2025 nominations coverage highlighted the breadth of Beyoncé’s recognition, including COWBOY CARTER and five first nominations in the Country & American Roots Music field:

- Best Americana Performance
How her career total differs from a one-year record
A career nomination total, nominations in a single awards cycle and Grammy wins are three different measures. The Academy’s retrospective on Beyoncé’s 2023 nominations reports that she received 10 nominations in 2009, a single-year figure. It also says that nine nominations in 2023 brought her career tally to 88, tying her with Jay-Z at the time.

| 2009 nominations | 10 | One awards cycle, according to the Recording Academy’s retrospective. |
| After the 2023 nominations | 88 each | Beyoncé and Jay-Z were tied in career nominations. |
| 2025 Grammys | 11 new; 99 career | The new nominations established Beyoncé’s record total. |
| Wins as of the 2025 Grammys | 35 | Career wins listed on Beyoncé’s Recording Academy profile. |
The historical figures and the distinction between the 2009 single-year count and the 2023 career tally appear in the Academy’s 2023 retrospective.

The Grammys are peer-voted awards. The Recording Academy says its voting membership includes music makers such as recording artists, songwriters, composers, producers, mixers and engineers. That describes the voting community; it does not change how the nomination totals above should be dated or counted.
