For a prerecorded gaming VOD that is already encoded, the clearest India-based VPS listing surfaced for streaming is Inservers: ₹880/month starting, with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe, and a provider-advertised 1 Gbps unmetered uplink. That is a provider listing, not an independent performance or reliability test. Before buying, get written confirmation that sustained 24/7 YouTube streaming is allowed and verify fair-use, renewal, and final billing terms.
If avoiding VPS setup and recovery work matters more than managing your own server, StreamNeo is the managed alternative to try first: it plays uploaded videos from the cloud, supports up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers the first day free. Its service terms should be checked on the live plan page.
Which VPS should you shortlist?
For a continuous prerecorded stream, assume the VPS will relay an already encoded file unless you specifically need to encode or alter the video on the server. With relay, the key buying questions are sustained outbound transfer, permission for continuous streaming, location, and recovery—not simply the largest advertised CPU allocation.
The listings below are provider-advertised offers surfaced in October 2026. They do not independently establish real-world throughput, uptime, processor performance, or suitability for your channel. Prices, terms, and availability can change; check the provider’s current checkout and written policies before paying.

| Option | Published listing | What it establishes | Check before buying |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo (managed alternative) | Uploaded-video playback, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and up to 4K 60fps are described on its site. | A cloud playback alternative to installing and supervising your own VPS relay. | Current pricing, slot count, storage, limits, terms, and trial conditions. |
| Inservers streaming VPS | ₹880/month starting; 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe, and provider-advertised 1 Gbps “unmetered” uplink. | The listing explicitly markets a streaming VPS and claims no overage charges. | Written permission for continuous YouTube streaming, fair use, billing and renewal, what “unmetered” means in practice, and recovery/support. |
| DuckCloud Linux VPS L1 | ₹399/month on a one-year term; ₹449 stated renewal; 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD; advertised “unlimited” bandwidth. | A lower listed entry price and an advertised unlimited-bandwidth claim. | Whether sustained streaming is permitted, fair-use terms, tax and current checkout/renewal, and support/recovery. |
| Endercloud Mumbai VPS | ₹999/month starting; 3 vCore, 8 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe, 2 TB bandwidth at 1 Gbps. | A stated Mumbai location and finite transfer allowance. | Whether the quota leaves enough headroom, plus tax, renewal, persistent-use policy, and overage or suspension terms. |
| VPSWala catalogue | Mumbai, Noida, and Jaipur nodes; entry examples include low finite allowances such as 100 GB on VPS 2. | Shows why an inexpensive headline plan may not provide enough transfer for continuous video. | Choose a plan with sufficient transfer and verify checkout, sustained-use rules, and all other terms. |
These are not like-for-like plans: one has a finite 2 TB quota, while other listings use “unlimited” or “unmetered” language without establishing how fair use applies to a nonstop outbound video stream. Do not treat those words as proof of unlimited sustained throughput.
Estimate the bandwidth your VOD will use
For decimal-unit estimates, multiply stream bitrate in Mbps by 10.8 to estimate GB per day, or by 324 to estimate GB over 30 days. These are arithmetic estimates before protocol overhead, not guarantees about how a provider counts quota.
| Bitrate | Estimated transfer per day | Estimated transfer per 30 days |
|---|---|---|
| 3 Mbps | 32.4 GB | 972 GB |
| 6 Mbps | 64.8 GB | 1.944 TB |
| 10 Mbps | 108 GB | 3.24 TB |
| 12 Mbps | 129.6 GB | 3.888 TB |
For example, a 6 Mbps continuous stream would use about 1.944 TB over 30 days by this calculation, leaving very little headroom under a 2 TB plan for overhead or any additional traffic. Ask the provider how it measures transfer, whether overages trigger charges or suspension, and whether the allowance resets monthly.

Choose the VPS based on the actual workload
Relaying an already encoded VOD
A relay forwards a file that has already been encoded. For this use, estimate transfer from the actual video bitrate, then confirm the VPS permits persistent outbound RTMP/RTMPS streaming and has enough transfer allowance. A provider’s advertised uplink speed is not the same as a promise of sustained throughput or service reliability.

If the server must encode the footage, transcode it, or change resolution or frame rate, CPU capacity and the exact encoder workload matter much more. The provider listings do not establish an independently tested CPU sizing recommendation for encoding gaming footage at a particular resolution, frame rate, and codec. Test your intended configuration on the chosen server before relying on it for a continuous channel.
Use YouTube’s encoder guidance as the output baseline
YouTube’s official encoder settings guide recommends H.264 bitrates including 6 Mbps for 720p at 60 fps, 10 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps, and 12 Mbps for 1080p at 60 fps. It specifies RTMP or RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), up to 60 fps, and a recommended two-second keyframe interval. The appropriate target still depends on the material and selected output settings.
Rank #3
YouTube says it recommends RTMPS, the secure extension to RTMP. Test with representative audio and motion before relying on the stream, and monitor stream health while it is live. For a relay, make sure the source file’s encoding and bitrate align with the stream configuration you intend to send.
What to confirm with a VPS provider
- Continuous-use permission: ask in writing whether 24/7 outbound streaming to YouTube is permitted, rather than assuming ordinary VPS terms cover it.
- Transfer and fair use: clarify the allowance, how traffic is counted, whether “unlimited” or “unmetered” has a fair-use limit, and what happens if usage exceeds policy.
- Location and route: choose a stated location that suits your operational needs, but do not infer stream quality or reliability from location alone.
- Total and recurring cost: confirm taxes, billing term, renewal amount, overage charges, and whether the displayed price is introductory or recurring.
- Recovery and support: ask what happens after a process, server, network, or YouTube disconnect, and whether you are responsible for restarting the relay.
- Storage: ensure the disk can hold the VOD files you intend to keep on the server, in addition to the operating system and relay setup.
Set up and operate your own continuous relay
A self-managed VPS means you are responsible for placing the VOD on the server, configuring a relay or playback process, supplying the YouTube stream key, and monitoring/restarting the process. The exact commands and interface depend on the VPS operating system and relay software; the provider listings cited here do not prescribe a particular setup.

- Select a plan against your bitrate: calculate monthly transfer, leave margin, and obtain confirmation of continuous-streaming permission and fair-use treatment before ordering.
- Prepare the source file: use an already encoded VOD if the server is intended only to relay. If you plan to encode, validate the resolution, frame rate, codec, and CPU workload on the chosen server before going live.
- Configure the YouTube stream: use YouTube’s live control room to create or select the stream, copy the stream key securely, and configure the relay to send to the ingest URL and key. Do not expose the key in public logs or share it.
- Match output settings: follow YouTube’s encoder guidance for RTMPS where supported, CBR, frame rate up to 60 fps, and a two-second keyframe interval. Set resolution and bitrate for the intended stream.
- Test before depending on it: run a private or unlisted test with representative motion and audio; check YouTube stream health and confirm the relay survives expected process and connection interruptions.
- Arrange supervision and recovery: configure your process manager or monitoring approach to detect a stopped relay and restart it where appropriate. Verify the YouTube stream resumes as intended after a disconnect; do not assume VPS provisioning includes this.
- Review usage after launch: compare actual transfer and billing with your estimate, and revisit the plan if the stream bitrate, duration, or number of streams changes.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, the three steps are: upload the recording, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera. Nothing has to stay on at home; one flat price per slot covers any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card required. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.

The provider flags traffic or suspends the VPS
Cause: continuous outbound streaming may be outside a plan’s fair-use rules even if the listing says “unlimited” or “unmetered.” Fix: request written permission and exact policy before purchase; if enforcement occurs, contact support and stop traffic until the provider clarifies the account status.
The stream stops after a disconnect
Cause: a relay process can exit, a server can restart, or YouTube can drop the connection. Fix: check logs and YouTube stream health, confirm the stream key and ingest configuration, and test the configured restart/recovery process. A VPS listing alone does not establish automatic recovery.

The transfer quota runs out early
Cause: the bitrate-duration estimate omitted overhead, extra streams, or other server traffic, or the provider counts usage differently. Fix: compare measured usage with the provider’s accounting period and policy, reduce bitrate only if suitable for the content, or move to an adequately sized allowance.
The server struggles while encoding
Cause: live encoding is more demanding than forwarding an already encoded video. Fix: reduce encoding workload only if acceptable, or test a server with more suitable compute for the precise codec and settings. No listing here independently certifies an encoding configuration.
The stream is unstable despite a fast advertised uplink
Cause: the stated port speed does not by itself guarantee uninterrupted sustained throughput or a healthy route to YouTube. Fix: test the actual stream, inspect YouTube’s health indicators, and ask the provider about sustained traffic, routing, and support.
Copyright and YouTube channel considerations
A VOD being prerecorded does not establish that you have the rights to stream its gameplay, music, or other included material. Check the rights and licenses for the complete recording, including soundtrack and overlays, before putting it on a continuous public stream. YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance covers technical configuration; it is not a grant of copyright permission or a guarantee that a channel will qualify for monetization. Review YouTube’s current rules for copyrighted material, reused content, and monetization separately before building a channel around repeated VOD playback.
