The Garvey sisters gather to bury Grace, but the funeral brings little comfort: grief, old tensions and Angelica’s unwelcome presence collide. Meanwhile, Ursula is consumed by the possibility that pills she gave Grace may have mattered, and Ian’s absence—and later return—adds a new question to the family’s search for answers.
What is the official title of episode 3?

What happens at Grace’s funeral?
The Garveys come together for Grace’s funeral, with Blánaid, the detectives, Matt, Roger and Angelica also there. The episode’s grief is immediate, but the gathering is far from peaceful. Angelica tries to join the family, and the sisters push back, making plain how little trust remains between her and the Garveys.

Why is Ursula blaming herself?
Ursula volunteers to identify Grace’s body, according to Ready Steady Cut’s episode recap. Her distress grows from a specific fear: she supplied Grace with pills and wonders whether that decision could be connected to what happened. The episode’s account establishes Ursula’s guilt and uncertainty, not that the pills caused Grace’s death.

Ursula confides in Angelica, apparently looking for reassurance. Instead, Angelica turns the conversation toward a broken clubhouse window and the lack of money to repair it. That response leaves Ursula more upset and deepens the sense that Angelica’s connection to the sisters is uneasy. Her motives, however, are not settled by this episode.
Where is Ian, and what does he tell the sisters?
Ian’s absence at the funeral draws attention. He later returns and tells the sisters what Grace had disclosed to him, according to Ready Steady Cut’s recap. When the detectives question him, he offers little about Grace’s history with JP and his father, keeping important parts of the story unresolved.

The recap’s suggestion that Ian may be an ally is a prediction, not a confirmed fact. What the episode establishes is that his appearance and limited answers give the sisters—and the investigation—more to reckon with.
What changes in the detectives’ search?
Apple’s official synopsis says the detectives’ search takes a turn, while Ursula reaches a breaking point. Apple TV Press’s season information frames the episode around the fallout from a devastating event. The episode-specific accounts keep the pressure on the questions around Grace and Ian, but do not resolve the full mystery. It is useful to separate what the episode shows from what characters fear: Ursula suspects her choice may matter; that suspicion is not proof of cause.
